best ofthe PC mics
I sang using several mics, including CyberAcoustics, Plantronics, a Samson USB dynamic mic, and a Tascam mixer using a condensor mic. Tascam's software had major problems and I had to return this and the condensor mic. The Samson USB was superior, but it was triple the price, required a lot of voice volume, and had other difficulties. The Labtec was the only one of the PC mics that somewhat captured my singing. The Plantronics sounded nice for voice, but not for singing.Pluses--good price, captured my singing style well.Weaknesses--Doesn't capture bass (but I doubt that my sound card too), doesn't capture higher treble.

Dead on arrival.
Item was dead on arrival.I had a $5 credit on my amazon account, which brought the total price to around $6 for the unit after taxes, and going through the returns process was more than a hassle that it would have been worth. This is the first Labtec product that did not work out of the box for me.I had a similar Labtec mic several years ago, and the build quality then was much higher. The lead coming from the 3.5mm jack to the microphone itself was low quality and inflexible on this unit.

Labtec Computer Microphone
Well I pretty much bought this mic because it is cheap.. and i wanted to video chat. Well I can understand why it is cheap cause it barely works. The only way to let the other person hear me is to hold it up to my mouth at least an inch away even then I have to speak louder than usual. But if you are looking for a cheap mic and u dont mind doing that then be my guest.

Very sensitive
This mic pics up any ambiant sound in your room. It picks up my air purifyer that sits 10 feet away. The little red light on mine has yet to light up. However since it plugs straight into a free USB port, installation and use are both very easy. One you have eliminated ambient sounds nearby, sound quality is just fine.

Works Great and it's Cheap!
I was searching for a basic inexpensive (non-USB) microphone for an audio project I'm doing on my PC.I wasn't willing to spend the $20 to $40 for some other brands and I stumbled on this Labtec in stock from Amazon. I paid less than $10 for the Labtec Verse 534. And since it's from Amazon (not an Amazon partner), and I have Amazon Prime shipping, I didn't have to pay extra for it to arrive in two days.No complaints. For $10 it's awesome!NOTE: This is not a USB microphone. It uses a standard 3.5mm mini plug.

Not for Mac Mini
Bought this for my grandmother's Mac Mini but it didn't work. Apparently the mic needs 1.5VDC phantom power that was not specified in product description. I guess some PC's may have this standard but the Mac Mini line in does not.

good mic
Crystal clear sound. As the previous review states, its even good for singing. Good price too.

Good quality
It does everything I wanted it to do. There is a low underlying hum, not noticeable in most situations, but I have yet to determine if that is the fault of the microphone or of my computer itself.
