It’s done the job for me
Used this to stabilise an oak gate post that I put in around 20 years ago. It had rotted badly in the concrete and about 2 inches up the post. Probably down to around 2-3 inches of post left. I didn’t fancy trying to dig out the old post this autumn - so I thought I would give the spike a bash. The first thing to be aware of is that it has a long spike, and although it is pretty solid, it wouldn’t penetrate the clay and bits of stone that lies under my topsoil. I tried making a path for it using a 2 ft long cold chisel, but in the end I had to dig out the stones by hand. I then attached the spike to the post.Contrary to some reviews, it will take a 6.3 screw (I used the ones in the picture) which means you can use hex headed screws. Just need to make sure they are centred (using the pint of a 6mm wood drill bit to mark the centre helps with this. I the packed the clay and stones around the spike. I wanted to stop any water gathering in the concrete socket where the post had rotted away - so I filled the gap in using lime render. I avoided concrete as I guess I will need to clear out the socket and fit a new post at some time.1 month on - all totally solid. I’m sure the spike will outlast the post by a long ay.

Does The Job.
We used this to repair a post that supports feather board fencing. Due to a large hedge we can only get to it from one side and did not want the upheaval and cost of replacing a section of it just because of a post. We dug out a hole and installed this. The hardest part was the digging due to compacted soil and root material. No concrete was necessary and the post is now sturdy and straight.Robust, simple and strong.Does the job.

This works!
Don't be put off by the size as it has to be big to work, but it does go in smoothly. Ample horizontal bar which will fit over the cement base of the post you are trying to repair.I used mine after the last storm in February and it took all of 10 minutes to install. Just watch where you hit the "spike" as it will tend to enter at an angle if it is struck at the end.

Great solution to reinforce weak posts.
Bracket is of Solid construction and an ideal solution to reinforcing weaken panel posts. The offset bracket allows the steak part to be driven into the ground, avoiding the existing postcrete.I will admit I was sceptical of the quality and performance prior to ordering the bracket but took re-assurance based on customer reviews.I can now confirm the reviews are correct and this bracket is a great solution for hard to replace posts.

It works perfectly
Excellent piece of kit. Really solid with nearly 10 ins of offset which is ample to bypass the concrete foundation. Only very minor gripe is that I would have liked slightly wider holes that could accommodate a 6.3 mm hex screw. Post barely moves when installed. Great for this time of year (winter) when it would be a real hassle removing fence panels and having to dig out old concrete. The intention was that this would be a temporary fix but now that it is secure it is that effective it might just be staying put.

Easy Installation excellent final result
I used it to repair a broken fence post which would have caused severe disruption to dig out the broken base. It was fitted very easily and solved the problem
