It's the size of a regular bazooka. LOL. Of course the dogs love it, but it really doesn't shoot far enough. The two Aussies catch the ball before it ever lands so there's not much force behind it. Still it gets everyone engaged. And the dogs don't know it could be better.

There are not enough words to express how great this dog toy is! I have a very energetic Australian Shepard and unfortunately, I broke my ankle and cannot currently walk her very far. This toy is the answer! I can shoot tennis balls all day and she will literally run and chase them until she's about to pass out, but she is loving every minute of it! She begs me to go play with her and it is such a relief to get her the exercise she needs when I can't. I keep a stash of tennis balls in a wire basket and after she chases all of them, I have taught her to retrieve them and put them back in the basket. These guns do not last forever; eventually the rubber band will give out and you have to buy another one, but they last awhile. Well worth the money and if you watch Amazon deals, you can catch them on sale. Great product!

Broken already. Band inside already broke. Purchased on 9/14/25. I bought this for my daughter's dog when she comes to visit. I've hardly used it. I've only had her dog a couple times for about 3 days each visit since September and we certainly don't play with this every minute of her stay with me. She certainly loved how far it would shoot and I loved using it to play with her. What a huge disappointment. Total waste of money given the short time it lasted with minimal use. She's visiting today and it broke on our second time. I won't purchase again.

It’s a great alternative. However, it does not throw as far as I expected. A regular ball thrower works better. My dog was hesitant to play at first since it’s makes a loud clicking noise when reloading and blasting the ball. But it’s fun to use. Regular Kong balls fit perfect which is a plus. It’s also easy to reload and safe. Not sure if it will last long since there is a rubber band inside that launches the ball. But would repurchase again if needed.

This Nerf dog ball launcher worked pretty well at first. It doesn’t launch the ball as far as the Chuckit! launchers, but it’s much easier to use, especially if you have a bad shoulder or limited arm strength. Unfortunately, I bought mine in April, and by July the pull cord had broken, making the launcher unusable. If your dog only uses it occasionally, it could still be a good option. However, if you have a high-energy dog that plays fetch constantly, I’m not sure it will hold up over time. My Husky/German Shepherd mix absolutely loved it while it lasted!

I did not expect this to be such a hit. We have a border collie mix that loves it. If we shoot one ball, he runs to retrieve it, drops it at our feet and then barks at us until we shoot the next one. He was never great at fetch, always tried to play keep away, but with this launcher he coming back for more every time! We’ve even launched some small squeaky toys in it.

Bought the other one with the green barrel originally which I was happy with but the elastic band on the inside of it eventually wore out and so I reordered and got this one with the shorter barrel and I definitely noticed that it didn't launch even 40 feet, and just a few months into it, you were lucky to get 20 ft out of it, there was also an issue with the balls that came with this one, they wore out way faster and had to be replaced with in a few months. I'm going to try reordering the one with a green barrel and hoping it was just a designing flaw with it and they didn't change it to inferior product to save a few bucks.

Love this tennis ball gun. It never shoots quite as far as the literature suggests but it's definitely fun and my Labrador loves it. For someone who cannot throw and cannot do the snap to use a normal ball launcher (the ball never releases lol) it is fantastic. The balls that come with it are a bit cheap and break easily however a proper tennis ball fits perfectly and they are far more substantial not breaking when they hit the ground at speed. As a wheelchair user this is wonderful as u can easily pick the ball up from the ground removing the need to have a slobbery ball placed on your lap. My dog loves it and makes for great garden or park exercise

I thought it would shoot the ball much further than it is.
