Orion FunScope Astro Dazzle 4.5 Inch Reflector Telescope

The telescope is will made overall in size and weight, but the final optics and magnification leave a little to be required. To be honest this is only the second telescope I have ever bought and this one is for my 12 year old son who shows great interest in astronomy. But I would still recommend it over some of the others based on reviews and actual used. It's amazing how expensive these telescopes can be considering they are all mostly made in Asia.

This is a fantastic starter telescope, we got it for my daughter’s birthday and it was super easy to setup and use. Great for both of us beginners.

Firstly, a big thank you to Amazon for making it possible to buy this scope from Singapore! The delivery was much more speedier than the original expected date. Item received in perfect condition, easy to setup using included manual. The scope was effortless to use esp with the finderscope. The manual left-right and up-down movement is very smooth. Eye pieces supplied were adequate for beginners. My 6 year old girl with our neighbourhood kids were so excited about seeing 'stars' using the scope. Unfortunately, the sky was cloudy but the crescent moon did provide an hour of joy for all of us! Attached is a photo taken thru the scope eyepiece using Samsung S9 mobile phone. A good beginning!

For the price, this is an amazing first telescope. For the price point, this telescope performs exceptionally well against the competition. The table top design is great for portability and use, as long as you have a table to support it. I bought and used lenses other than the kit lenses which makes a significant difference. The collimation tool is wonderful and helped to ensure the telescope is collimated and ready to use. I would highly recommend this to someone testing the waters and not wanting to spend an exorbitant amount of money on their first telescope.

I know this was probably meant as a children's starter scope, but this was my first reflecting telescope and it's great, well worth the cost. Using the telescope is super simple to start, but the red dot finder scope makes it even easier. I can easily find and clearly see planets with the eyepieces it came with, but also bought a 6mm to further increase magnification, which I recommend. Telescope and mount came preassembled, only assembly required was putting on the finder scope which again was super simple.

did not work at all...I can see stars clearly with naked eye than with this ..

I’ve had several telescopes. Some more expensive than these but this is truly worth the price. I am very very happy.

Je acheté cet article comme télescope d'appoint, pour des observations rapides.La monture mono bras fait sont office. L'optique est de bonne facture et l'assemblage du tube et bien réalisé ce qui laisse augurer de bonnes performances. Mais voila le porte oculaire est une horreur, pièces mal ajustées et très mal finies. Il en découle que l’alignent des différents éléments de l'optique devient irréalisable et que la mise au point est très difficile; pour un résultat en deçà de ce que le télescope peut donner.Une seule solution: remplacé ce porte oculaire défaillant.Pour cela je ne met que deux étoile pour ce télescope, inapproprié aux débutants, réservé au bon bricoleur.Pour info la découpe à l'emplacement du porte oculaire fait 43mm de diamètre.

Un produit vendu en france doit avoir une doc en francais. Difficile de régler un instrument pareil sans documentation bien comprise. Ce qui entraine des avis négatifs, que j'ai pu lire ici et là.... Je me réserve le droit de modifier cet avis après utilisation...
