Joy-pad Controllers for Nintendo Switch,Left and Right Controllers with Strap, Replacement for Nintendo Switch Joycon (Red and Blue)

I bought these because I was sending off my oem joycons to be repaired. Pairing was so incredibly easy, I literally took off my joycons , slid these on , and they paired I was genuinely surprised.The problem is that I actually love these better than the original! I was very surprised when I went to play Zelda and the axis controllers worked. The ergonomics of the controller fit in my hand so much better allowing me to play longer.

Works just like the Joycons that come with the Switch with a couple minor differences. They don’t come with the sliding plastic pieces that go over the connector side but you can use the ones from other Switch controllers. They do have the buttons on the connector side though for use as a mini-controller sideways. They do have a wrist strap that attaches through a small hole. They also have a much more ergonomic grip that makes them a bit more comfortable to hold than the basic flat design of the Nintendo models. They do have a separate port and usb cord for charging but they will still charge when attached to a Switch or slide-in charging dock. This just gives you another charging option. They have vibration and gyroscope features also. I paired them by clicking them into the Switch and was super easy. Looking for a cheaper alternative for the expensive Nintendo ones, here is an option.

***Disclaimer***I recieved this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion.I was skeptical, but was looking for another joycon set, so I thought I'd try it out. I recieved 2 days after ordering. The first time I tried to use it, it did not immediately register with my switch; however, when I took a few minutes to trouble shoot (guidance provided in the additional info on the product page) it paired easily and worked well both attached and remote. It is nice to hold, though due to size/shape, obviously feels different than the original. It is a bit larger, but more ergonomic. These come with wrist straps that tie on, not slide on like the originals. I thought it felt better after adding the slides from my other controllers. Otherwise, I really like this controller. I haven't used it long enough to speak to battery life, but I imagine it will be similar to the others.

I got these controllers in order to allow our large family to play Mario party together. I really like them, and they are a great deal for almost half the price of the official joycons. Here are my opinions on the things I think most people will find important:Battery life: battery life seems fine to me. Since I ply a mix of handheld mode and hdmi mode, they are charged when I’m ready to use them. As such, I can’t tell the actual full battery life, but I have used them for around 5 hours on a full charge without dying.Ergonomics: this is where these controllers really stand out to me. They are a little bigger than the joycons that come with the switch, which I like because a I have bigger hands. They are a little lighter than the switch ones, which i also enjoy. The top is also more curved than the originals, which make handling easier and less painful during a long play session.Buttons/joystick: the buttons are a bit bigger than the original joycons. As such, it takes a little getting used to before I felt comfortable with them, but now I enjoy this better than the original.Sync/response time: initial sync was extremely easy, and they essentially auto-connected themselves. I haven’t tested the range, but the response time seems to be the same as the original joycons. I haven’t had any issues playing fast laced games like Smash with them.Other notes: the controllers do NOT fit into the sliders that come with the switch, but they do come with wrist straps. When using them in “one controller mode, this means the L/R buttons fee a little different. Not a big deal, as the buttons are made larger to compensate for size.All in all, I recommend if you are seeking joycons on a budget. I’ve come to like them more than the originals.

These controllers are great, arrived fast, 2 days after ordering! Upon opening the box there is the 2 controllers, a charger chord and 2 attachable wrist straps, did not come with strap connectors but we have plenty so that was no issue! We are a family of 5, 2 adults 3 kids we play the Switch together or individually almost daily, have been having issues with original joycons drifting so couldn't wait to try a new 3rd party controller! I was surprised by how lightweight they are which is a good thing, I charged them on my switch controller charging dock as soon as I took them out of the box they charged great, bonus they blink while charging and when the blinking stops they are fully charged! They are bigger then original joycons which is nice for us adults and the kids, the shape is great too, we normally have our hands cramp easily with regular joycons with these ones the shape makes it so much more comfortable to use while attached to the Switch or unattached! Don't forget to pair and calibrate them before use as with all controllers! These we highly recommend, and will most likely by a 2nd set so everyone in our family has these to use!! These are a great Joycon replacement if you don't wish to pay the full price Nintendo charges. We were really disappointed that our original Joycon's were stuck in the up position and made playing games very difficult, but who wants to pay huge prices for a replacement? These Joycon's do not include the NFC functionality, so if you need that, just pop back on the originals, then switch back. Another knock was they did not fit in the external joysticks holders, like the steering wheel or the controller. The shape of the Joycon's are not an exact match to the Nintendo brand, so they did not fit into those external holders.
