Comfortable and Warm Poncho
I should probably begin my review by saying that I am a 5'1.5" woman and I bought this poncho for myself. I noticed a question regarding whether this is an ok poncho for a woman, so I thought I'd comment on that for anyone else who might be wondering. That being said, if you're looking for something that will be more form fitting and small, this is definitely not the poncho for you. If you want to be swallowed by a warm cloud of alpaca and wool and block out the cold, then this is definitely the poncho for you. I actually really love that this is huge. It reaches more than halfway down my shins, so it doesn't drag, but it definitely covers most of me, I can pull in my arms and the poncho will totally cover me except my feet. The material is definitely an alpaca mix, I have a 100% alpaca pendleton blanket and the drape of this shawl is just a little stiffer, and the feel is a little less silky than the alpaca, though still very soft. It is absolutely well made with a nice tight weave that feels like it will soften with wear and cleaning. (I would definitely hand wash this article with a high quality no-rinse wool wash by soaking in tepid, room temp, water and rolling in a towel then laying flat to dry for a day or two; that will definitely soften it more and prevent it from getting damaged or shrinking, I would never toss this in a washing machine). I bought this poncho because I work downstairs in my house and we don't have adequate heating down there, so it gets very very cold in winter. The poncho arrived on a very cold day so I was able to test this immediately and am currently wearing it, it keeps out the cold very very well without making me feel overheated, which is exactly what I expect from alpaca. I should also mention that I don't usually leave a review so soon after receiving an item, but in light of the christmas season and my own happiness with this purchase I thought it well worth it. I will mention that the neck hole on the poncho is about 10 inches. There was a crease in the poncho when I got it from folding and shipping, but steam and wear should get that out. I will be purchasing another of these ponchos in the near future as a gift, and think this will make a wonderful gift for anyone who needs something warm and knows how to take care of nice wool.

Awesome poncho...
My wife and I have been through Mexico on vacations and I always wanted a classic poncho - think the good, the bad, and the ugly - but I never could find one that really seemed right...My wife lived in ecuador for a year after college and constantly talks about going back and hikes etc so when I saw this poncho - it felt right...This thing is great - SUPER soft and comfy to wear, keeps your arms/hands free for working on a laptop, and drapes nicely over your legs while sitting - while I rarely wear the hood, its great for keeping the back of your neck warm.As far as sizing, its pretty big - I'm 6'2" and you can see clearly in my picture that it hits my knees easily while sitting - while standing it comes down to mid-thigh easily....Love it - love the designs - highly recommended!

Blanket with a Head Hole
First time purchasing an outer garment of this type, and I'm glad that the quality is superb. With satisfaction in mind, the origin of make is Ecuador, and the material is 70% Alpaca Wool & 30% Lana Wool. The weight of the poncho is about medium. It's not too light that it feels cheap, and it's not not heavy where it only will be wearable in super cold conditions.I'm using the poncho for office use where it can get super cold because of the A/C. Keeps me warm enough without overheating, and when it does get a bit stuffy I just move the front flap over my shoulder (cape transformation hehe)and let the cool air do its job. Kind of like sticking one leg out of the blanket when you're in bed; nice and toasty but you got temperature controlled with the one leg exposed.I have two concerns with the poncho: the toggle future near the neck, and the fringes at the bottom of garment. The wooden toggle is linked by a simple wool loop, and sometimes when you have them combined the loop portion gets a bit twisted. This has happened to me a couple of times, and I feel like its about to snap. Though constant monitoring of the stitching assuages my concerns somewhat since it is done quite well. The fringes on the bottom look like they would unravel, but maybe there's a certain technique that was done to make sure it won't happen. I hope for this to be true for the future.Overall, I'm happy with the quality of the garment. The design and color is awesome, and many co-workers have stated it's super nice. I've been telling them that I'm surprised that it is lol.

This is without a doubt the most beautiful piece of clothing I have ever seen
I’ve been wanting a poncho for the longest time now. I recently moved to the Mojave desert and it’s winter so what better time!? I scrounged the web for a nice poncho and there were many but Casa de Alpaca had the absolute coolest ones no doubt. It was hard to select one from the many awesome ones they have. I’m super satisfied with mine. Beautiful art, very nice and soft fabric. Fits well. Looks cool af. Thanks. Now I’m gonna be extra warm and comfortable when sitting outside at my campfire or walking around the desert on a cold day.

My favorite Pancho that I own
This is my favorite poncho, it is definitely an eye-catcher, so many people will comment on this when I have it out. The color, the warmth, the fabric, all wonderful! Sometimes I just wear it around as a blanket it's so nice and warm, but it is also nice because it being a poncho it can also not keep in the warmth on a sunny day because it will keep the sun off of you. The hood is a little small, but that's okay I don't really care

Great looking, soft, but too thin
I love it, but it’s too thin. It’s soft, not scratchy, great looks, but wanted it for cold camping. I ended up using it in our cabin to keep warm at nights while watching movies or playing games. For that it a 100% go to. For around the campfire. Not so much. I kept it and use it indoors.

Bought 3!
Very high quality, durable, comfortable, warm but breathable, water repellent, no odors, ideal size for average height/accurate to photos, also doesn't retain most odors either.-Has washed fine multiple times on cold/delicate without detergent, and drys ok on ultra low to get pet fur off easier.

Beau motif
