I opened it up and laid it flat for the recommended 24 hours. It had absolutely zero smell, which I was pleased about. I added it top a firm mattress. It did make the mattress more comfortable! However, I definitely don't think its cooling advertisement is correct. I am never hot over night and found myself sweating twice! I'm hoping it's the new bedding I added instead of the topper and will try just a sheet tonight. I will update my review if that doesn't help. Overall, nice product. Fits on my queen mattress well.
