Could a keder strip be sewn on one edge in order to make an awning for a campervan?

I think you should be able to do that.. I have a transporter and I throw this over the van roof and with few guy ropes I pin it down. The main end I use poles and guy ropes to hold it up and in place works a treat but takes a few people to put it up 2 if it ain't windy.once up it stayed up when a squawl of rain and wind hit us.

Can I use this as shade over my pond (3m x 4m). How would you suggest supporting it. It is on one side of the garden by a fence,with a walk way.

The guide ropes extend well beyond the cover so you should be good to go. As long as you have two supports at each end for the ropes to lift the "roof", the lower edges can be supported by ground pegs. Also, it doesn't have to be in an "A" shape i.e. one side could be higher than the other if required. Hope that helps.

How many tieout points are available as the number of tieout points on each of the images looks different?

They are all different as they correspond with the size of the tarp. I have the 300 x 300 and it has 3 tieouts to each side. I use tarp clamps when I use the tarp to make a tent with my hiking poles to create the side flaps

can you use this on the beach and anchor it in the sand?

Hi yes, you could use it on a beach shelter but you would need to buy bivvy poles. Also you have to get modified pegs if its windy.
