I used moleskine before..lovely but expensive and you feel like you have to be perfect using them. With this pad I don't mind doing daft things and wasting paper, or gluing things in. It's a really lovely little book, and the square 12x12 size is a refreshing change too. I will be getting more! By carefull with stiching. Pages are stiched in bundles. If you rip off pages than other half of the page in bundle can fell off. It is not like spiral sketchbook.
