Dave Asprey turned conventional diet wisdom on its head with The Bulletproof Diet . Now he gives you the tools you need to stay Bulletproof for life. “An incredible compilation of recipes that’s sure to help many achieve their health-related goals.”—David Perlmutter, M.D., New York Times bestselling author of Grain Brain In The Bulletproof Diet , Dave Asprey outlined the plan responsible for his 100-pound weight loss, which he came to by “biohacking” his body and optimizing every aspect of his health. The unconventional plan urges you to skip breakfast, stop counting calories, eat high levels of healthy saturated fat, work out less, sleep better, and add smart supplements. In doing so, Dave says you'll gain energy, build lean muscle, and watch the pounds melt off—just as he and so many others have. Bulletproof: The Cookbook picks up where the diet plan leaves off, arming you with 125 recipes. Famous for his butter-laden Bulletproof Coffee, Dave packs the book with the delicious, filling meals he uses to maintain his weight loss and sustain his boundless energy. Once you get your hands on these mouthwatering recipes, you’ll be hungry for more—and this book is just what you’ll reach for. The Bulletproof lifestyle is your blueprint to a supercharged life. Review: Delicious, Healthy & easy to follow - I am very grateful for this book and am more and more impressed with the overall book after each recipe I make. Rarely do I leave feedback for products I purchase, but I felt compelled to for this. It has simplified eating healthy for me, with easy to make / easy to follow recipes that leave me feeling great after eating. This book has really sparked my interest in cooking and living the bulletproof lifestyle. Review: A great way to kick off the new year with some healthy Paleo-like recipes but with a Bulletproof Twist - I was pretty skeptical about this cookbook, but so far it is has exceeded my expectations. I've been eating Paleo with some consistency for the last year and have been curious about the Bulletproof movement. I've never read the original Bulletproof book but I've been on their site and have wondered about the diet. I can't speak to the coffee specifically but I will say that the recommendations and philosophy around diet and nutrition are pretty consistent with what I've encountered elsewhere (aside from traditional FDA recommendations) so I don't feel like it is pushing anything insane here. Yes, there is a bit of product placement, but there's opportunity to substitute, which is what I did. So far I've tried the Spice Roasted Fennel, Slow Cooked Roast Sirloin with Brussel Sprouts, and braised cabbage. I always wonder what to do with cabbage other than kimchee and coleslaw! The pickiest eaters in my household - my kids - love the beef and cabbage and even tried the fennel. My only wish is that this cookbook had more rugged pages to handle my messy cooking.

Lost 10lbs and Ate Really Satisfying and Delicious Meals
After reading the actual book, Bulletproof Diet, by Dave I decided to get this cookbook to help me create some delicious meals and add variety. It starts with a recap of the original book which was good if you need an easy refresher. I found the recipes to be simple to follow but similar to the original book Dave does push his products in it. I still lost 10lbs the first month and really the only thing I'd changed is starting my day with Bulletproof coffee and sticking to low carb/high good fat meals. I'm sure if I go into full Bulletproof mode my results will be much better

Great Companion to Bulletproof Diet book!!
1. I'm no newbie to the world of low carb/paleo/primal, etc. When I've worked on losing weight in the past, it has been a struggle and the older I get the less quickly my body responds to low carb and dieting in general. I was not expecting anything more when reading about and embarking on Bulletproof, but I've been blown away! Not only did I start losing weight right away, I did not crave sugar or really anything, and I'm feeling much better than I have for a while. 2. I used to work in catering/personal chef and taught cooking, so I have bought A LOT of cookbooks. The balance that I think is important in writing recipes for people who are changing their eating habits a) make them uncomplicated (so that you're not constantly thinking about food!), b) fairly easy to source ingredients (ever read diet recipes and go "what the hell is that and where am I supposed to buy it?!) and c) flavorful enough that you don't feel like a martyr. 3. If you're thinking of doing this, don't just "dabble" and then complain if it doesn't work for you. Read The Bulletproof Diet, there are explanations and valid research backing up the ideas, and follow it for a while.

Great if you're into "Bulletproof"; merely okay otherwise
This is an okay cookbook with a strong push for the "Bulletproof" lifestyle. If you're into all things bulletproof, then this is for you. If you aren't familiar with the Bulletproof Diet, there are plenty of reviews out there to check out and decide for yourself if it's something you want to sign up for. Outside of that, this is an okay cookbook with low carb/high fat recipes, liberally sprinkled with hyperbole, buzzwords, and product placement.

An absolutely essential cookbook for paleo and Bulletproof followers!!!
If you follow a Bulletproof or paleo lifestyle this book is absolutely essential. The recipes are so delicious!!! We just made the chestnut dumplings tonight (essentially, gnocchi) (page 108) and added the roasted butternut squash and lemons from page 126 with the addition of crispy fried sage from our winter garden and a drizzle of high quality olive oil. It was a serious 10 out of 10 and one of the most amazing gluten-free dishes we've had in a long time. The hake and salmon cakes (page 80) are stunning! We even substituted crab only to make them into crab cakes and they were off the charts served with the Bulletproof mayonnaise (page 205). The fennel salt with swiss chard (page 137) was a revelation. We're using that fennel salt on just about everything these days -- it's so clever and tasty. Basics like upgraded bone broth have become a daily staple (with the addition of collagen powder to boost the healing properties). Dave sent out a bonus recipe for homemade marshmallows (!!!) which are healthy and free of refined sugars. Let's just say a cup of Bulletproof coffee in the morning with a few of his vanilla marshmallows is a rather sensational indulgence on the weekends! So far every single recipe has been a major hit in our house. Amazing work, Dave. Please come out with cookbook #2 ASAP!!!

there really are some great recipes in here
I bought this for my dad as I am trying to encourage him to adopt a healthier way of eating and he's struggling a bit. I really admire Dave Asprey and all that he does, so buying this book was a win-win in that I helped give my dad ideas for more ancestral-food-based meals and I supported the Bulletproof brand and everything they're doing to improve people's health and well-being. Also, there really are some great recipes in here. You definitely won't run out of new and interesting things to try, along with a lot of easy recipes to make in a hurry. I make a lot of these in bulk on the weekend and freeze them in portions to eat throughout the week.

Start a Bulletproof Lifestyle with this book.
Already wrote a review for the diet book, saying to buy both together to fully follow the Bulletproof lifestyle. The recipes are tasty and the four I’ve tried are quick and simple. For example the Kale Carbonara the only skill required is cracking and separating an egg so not difficult as a reviewer said. Originally followed the recommendation of Tom Watson the ex-Labour Deputy Leader. It was a good recommendation. Had the Bulletproof Coffee and was fuelled until I had a late lunch at 3 without hunger. Also not too expensive. For example 2 cucumbers 50p 5 avocados £1 from a market stall. Many days of chilled soup and guacamole. Eat to the season and check out the reduced cabinet for grass-fed named breed mince like Aberdeen Angus from Tesco and Hereford from Co-op. It’s doable if you’re flexible in your meal plans. No liver. A big omission as that’s a nutrition powerhouse, but in the first book Mr Asprey says he doesn’t like liver. Lots of alternative recipes for comfort food treats. Brought second hand - impeccable condition.

My most important cookbook
This book quite literally change my life. I have been battling being overweight for over 20 years. I have wanted to get down to 190 yet always seem to hover around 210-220. I have tried multiple different diets never quite reaching that 190 goal. I followed this book, I did exactly what it said and the weight disappeared. I seemed to effortlessly reach my long time weight goal. The food is delicious, I truly do have more energy, more mental focus and whether I work out or not my weight stays within 5 pounds of 190. If you are struggling and need a real change, give this book a try.
