Are the pens sent, the exact pens by Mitsubishi?

No they were not. Similar ones but not those pens. What do we do about that?

My pens do not have a "DX" written on them, and there is small Japanese writing above the ".38" on the clip. Are your pens like this?

Yes. I have just purchased one thousand of these from Japan. The new pens do not have DX written on them. They have uniball signo, 0.38 and Japanese writing written in orange on the cap. The pen itself has um-151 and .24 printed in black on the side. it has number 4902778556108 and 150 printed on it. I hope this helps!

Do these pens smear when highlighting over it with midliners??

They do. Even if you let them dry for a little while (say going back to review notes after a couple days) they still smear. I usually highlight under my writing. These pens are gel so they’re bound to smear

These pens are not water-proof. While the pen's shell and grip are resistant to incidental contact with water, the tip of the pen is not. Avoid exposing the pen to liquids under extreme temperature or pressures. Avoid exposing the pen to corrosive chemicals. Do not submerge the pen in water. Do not attempt to write underwater with this pen. Contacting the pen's tip with very hard water may result in jamming of the tip's mechanism with crystal deposits, which may cause uneven or no ink release. Attempting to clear this by tapping the tip on a hard surface may clear it, but will result in breaking the tip.
