I was very pleased with this replacement water valve. Installation was straightforward and didn’t take long, even with basic tools. Once installed, it worked exactly as it should with no leaks or issues. I was able to install this by myself. It was super easy to change out in my park model. It did not leak and works great !

Perfect lower cost alternative to the original. Fits and works perfectly.

The part fits and works as it should. It leaked around the brass cap when I installed it. A quick tightening of the cap and the leaking stopped. Overall a worthwhile purchase. Appears more durable than the OE unit.

Was easy to replace and still hold up after half a year,I recommend this.

Didn’t crack through the super cold ( below freezing) winter like the plastic cap ones did, even when drained and blown out. I do have to periodically tighten the end cap, as it seems to back off from travel vibrations

Summary: A brand-new, $20 water valve that looks high quality, replaces the original $50 valve, fits fine, and does everything else fine, but LEAKS water, is a FAILURE. It must do everything functionally well and NOT leak a drop!Visually, the valve appears to be good quality but only gets 1 star because it leaked water from the screw-on cap. Tightening the cap as much as I dared to did not stop the leak, so I took it off to investigate. Best I can tell, the plastic male side of the valve body never reaches the gasket in the cap. If it did it would have NOT leaked. Sealing water for something like this is not rocket-science! A depth or length dimension is off, or the threads weren't cut far enough, or properly, not sure. A thicker gasket might work, or not. A thicker gasket may just squirm into a bad position and still not seal.By the time I saw the leak, this defective product had already cost me hours of time and frustrating effort in a confined awkward location, so I took a shortcut and applied a thick, non-hardening plumbing paste to the threads on the cap and got it to seal. Of course I can't trust it so I turn off the system water pump whenever its not in use.I'll leave it installed and use it awhile but may still return it and pay the extra $ for a real Dometic valve. My original Dometic lasted since 2006, and only recently began leaking through to the commode constantly. It's plastic operating stem had begun to crumble and the seal was permanently compressed, but it never leaked externally. Hopefully the current brass stem design will be prove to be an improvement, but its gonna be hard to beat a plastic stem that lasted 19 years.

Easy to install

The original Sealand part was made of an inferior plastic that would be more prone to cracking or freeze damage. The Sealand part also now has been "downgraded" from the original design by using a non-removeable cap so when the interior seal wears out it can not be replaced.This Beech Lane valve appears to be made of nylon (hence it's yellowish tinge )and is much tougher. It is indicated that freezing will not damage it and that would be quite true for a nylon part. Also, the bottom cap can be screwed off if a seal replacement is required.I'm very happy with this upgraded design and would recommend it.

Direct fit and replacement. Very quick to install. No more slow leak from the old part but will still keep an eye on it until I gain total confidence in it, but I'm not really concerned. Less $ than expected and fast shipping.

The ad shows that the valve has the heavy duty brass cap. I ordered this model especially for this feature because my old one cracked in the cold weather because it was a plastic cap. I paid a little more for this feature. Then I received the new valve with a plastic cap again. I'm not really impressed. It will fix the problem for now, but it's not really honest advertisement.

Easy to replace once you've cleaned up the old mess. Not a fun job but our toilet works like new again with this and a new ball and seal kit.

This item is reported as having a brass cap however they have plastic caps. We specifically wanted the brass caps as they would help with freezing winter conditions. Not Happy with this item.
