Tried to fix.... gave up and bought this new model.... WOW... had 100+ ft of tongue and groove on a ceiling to replace. The much smaller tip on this new nailer makes nail placement a breeze. Not one misfire, not one jam. Nail depth consistency spot on. Surprisingly light. Well worth the purchase. My only concern, my old Bostitch had a big rubber boot on the tip. Which when nailing pine trim didn't ding the wood. (made precise nail placement very difficult) I'm wondering if the newer much smaller tip will ding the soft pine trim. I'll need to run a test. May require a softer touch when nailing pine trim.
