The early pages ground you on note identification with great tips on seeing shapes/visuals that keep it interesting. I enjoyed the bonus material which allows you to practice finding notes randomly. Deeper in the book more in depth understanding of the bass is needed, but well worth the time to see what the future holds after you are able to pull off your “noob” hat and have a little more experience under your fingers. I would recommend this to anyone finally ready to not just know a few notes on the neck but the whole “giraffe”. (Get the book and you’ll get a new perspective about a few several random animals. 😉)

This is a short book but it's a great method for learning the fretboard, which is critical for every player. Simple, elegant, and highly recommended.

It wasn’t what I was expecting, maybe it will make more sense to me as I learn. Right now, it’s kinda Greek, to me.

I am a beginner bass player. , have been taking leasons for bout a month and this book has been great supplement and The book works. I learned the fretboard in yes 24 hours. highly recommend love the method the author uses , I love simplicity!

I struggle learning the fret board and this book helps because it lets you see the patterns on the bass that help to identify the notes. Consolidating all the visual tricks in one short book is definitely a shortcut to learning where the notes are,

Authors attempts at humor came across as childish IMHO Maybe it works for some, not for me I returned it and purchased one more written for adults

Two schools and a dozen of classes, I am 60, never did what this book did to me. It gave me fundaments. I have a Phd. and decided to learn bass a couple of years ago, minus 2 years lost thanks to covid, just because I wanted to. Theory is my forte but these schools wanted me to practice and play, I can’t do why I do not understand. This book gave me what I needed in a couple of hours. Believe the title, it works, and now I Can Practice, thanks.

Bought this for my son as he starts his bass journey. Seems like it's got the fretboard fundamentals laid out pretty simply.

Ich habe mir tatsächlich einen Timer gestellt um zu sehen, wie lange ich brauche, um mit diesem Buch das Griffbrett zu lernen. Ungelogen, nach 50 Minuten habe ich es verstanden! Es ist sinnvoll, das Bonusmaterial runter zu laden und auszudrucken, damit kann man wunderbar üben. Eine ganz klare Kaufempfehlung, auch für Anfänger.

Bought this for my wife. I've been playing bass for over 40 years and found parts useful. Shame she's not bothered to study this, particularly as she won't do what I advise!
