excellent quality, must have for working pantry, and long term pantry/preps
I highly recommend Judees products. Might pay a little more than some companies, but I have always had top notch experience with this line of products from Ohio, USA. Also, you can be assured that the products are coming from DEDICATED nut free, gluten free facilities. That's a big deal for some folks, and I am glad that a quality company caters to these needs. I have no allergies or sensitives, thankfully. I just want a product I can rely on. So Judee's is my go-to for pantry items like this. I even have my mom on board. The milk is really really good- tastes like milk, and not the usual powdered milk I use. I dont even drink cow milk, let alone whole milk, but I find great value in keeping powdered milk on hand for various cooking, baking, or SHTF needs. I try to stock whole milk powder because I can always water it down. Also whole milk works better in baking, cooking. Since I dont buy cow milk (but rarely) being able to have some cow milk on demand is fantastic. I can just make up what I need, at any consistency, and there is no waste. When it comes to stuff like this, I buy the largest amount I can afford. Since much of it is shelf stable, I can either tuck it away, OR I can break it down into smaller storable sizes using simple mason jars, or mylar bags. I plan to share this bag with my mom (unless she has already put in an order, ha).

Whole milk to be dry powdered - WHOLE, not nonfat!
I love whole milk. I was told that my health food needs to be changing. To skim milk. I abhor skim milk! I tried skim milk many many times but I just can't stand and can't tolerance it. Also whole milk price went higher. I was thinking why not to buy DRY powdered whole milk. It is good substitute for whole milk dairy. I use 1/4 cup of dry whole milk with 1 cup of spring water or filter water. The taste of DRY whole milk is closer to whole milk dairy. 1 cup is good for small bakery, 1 bowl of cereal, overnight oats, add it in pancake mixture and serve coffee and tea. It can be anything to use with dry whole milk. Also good for travel. 1/4 and 1/3 cups are the choices with 1 cup of water. For me, I use 1/4 cup of dry whole milk to stretchy my budget and 1/3 is more rich strong taste for bakery goodies. Other reason is price on DRY whole milk powdered is little higher and I looked for good reasonable price for 2 to 2.5 pounds. I bought this product for second time. I don't use DRY whole milk powdered everyday. I gotta have DRY whole milk powdered at home without worry about whole milk dairy get wasted money and expired date. I bought first bag in February 2021. I ordered it again in April 2021. One bag worth 2 months. It might be different for other people, maybe they use alot of DRY whole milk powdered and I make stretchy on DRY whole milk powdered for my budget and my health food habit.

Great for baking!
I primarily use Judee’s whole milk powder for baking bread. In the past I used other popular brands, but availability was spotty and it was always skim milk powder as well. The quality of your ingredients always affects the overall taste of the final product in your baking. This product definitely is a repeat for my bread baking! I love the pouch packaging because it is less waste and I can limit the air inside the container during storage. This powder taste great, and mixes well in my bread though. Seems like my bread is a little bit more chewy, in a good way, and not so dry as with other powders. Only a little but it is noticed. I use this package 1/3 of a cup per recipe, about once a week so I need it to last a long time. Shelf life is great. And as I said, being able to remove air from the bag before sealing is a lot better than canister types for keeping it fresh for the life of the products. I typically use it up in three months. I hope you will enjoy this product when you try it, a great value and great taste, especially in whole wheat bread!

Weird after taste, not like good whole milk -- trying to get used to it
Purchased this item (2.5lb) to test for long term storage of dry goods. Had high hopes and perhaps it's better when mixed into recipes, where you'd add 1tbsp or so. As a substitute for whole milk, I find it lacking. I am a lifelong whole milk drinker, with no "milk allergies". For those with milk issues, try A2 milk, which is more palatable to those with weak stomachs. Cannot stand skim milk (horrid taste), and most store bought whole milk is bland and tasteless, but passable. Raw milk from grass fed and finished cows is best and will always be so. There is nothing that compares to it...the settled, thick cream on top, the non-pasteurized, non-homogenized, vanilla-eggshell-white natural goodness is a true blessing that we've been fooled into thinking is not healthy...when it's the ONLY healthy option. If you haven't yet experienced this amazing treat, search your favorite web browser for "raw milk". When not available, organic, store-bought milk is my next best option...even though it is ultra pasteurized (sigh). Continuing with to this product review: the powder is quite lovely to look at, and amazingly refined. No clumps, no large grains...it seems comparable to well refined flour. This product dissolves well in warm water (or very warm), but does require some mixing. Recommend an immersion hand-held mixer (or blender) for best results. Spoon mixing might work in small batches, but for 2-4 quarts at a time, it pays to use an electric blend. It does get frothy while warm, but will settle down once cooled and refrigerated. The color of the milk when finished is a bright white, a bit brighter than your typical store bought milk. The color and texture of this milk is very nice, with nothing strange to report. It pours well, and there is no unusual mouth feel or graininess. The only thing I find unusual and difficult to get used to is the TASTE. It doesn't really taste good. Not sure why others say it tastes great, but my guess is they have no clue what good milk tastes like. Some have reported a flour-like taste, and I'd say they are not far off. It is weird and not to my liking...at first I found it somewhat disgusting, but have tried to acclimate myself to the taste. If there is flour in this mix, I will be very upset. Although the taste is off-putting, it can be acceptable in small amounts (8 oz or less), if consumed quickly. The after-taste will be short lived. For purposes of long term storage and/or emergency use as a whole milk replacement for drinking on a regular basis, it is passable and usable, but not recommended. I will continue my search for a worthy replacement for traditional whole milk.

Are you kidding me!!!!! It’s like fresh milk from the farm. I have a cow in my pantry.
This is the first time I’ve purchased this brand, and it will now be the only brand I purchased. Look at the ingredients just milk powder.....No other ingredients.... and the taste!!!!! A little history; I was looking for another brand of powdered whole milk for the company I was ordering from kept increasing the price of their product. 3 times in 4 months and now it’s $10.00 more which at the lowest cost before the increases, it was not a savings but options were limited. Plus the taste had changed and my family complained, So I had to search for a different brand and So Happy I did. Scenario ; I always put the powdered milk products into mason jars to get them out of those plastic bags. I have the jars together on one shelf in my pantry. I needed to make some milk and not paying attention I grabbed a jar....went to taste it after making a batch to see if it has enough powder..... Scream!!!! OH MY GOODNESS !!!! I thought I made a mistake and grabbed the powdered heavy cream jar instead of Judees powdered milk jar. ( remember this is the first time I’ve made milk from this brand) The taste is so fantastic, like cream ... I was floored!!! It was like I remember milk to be back in the old days when milk was delivered fresh from the farm that was close by. I’ll be using it in my coffee and baking from now on. I won’t have to order the powdered heavy cream anymore, this will save money even more. Before I wrote this I placed an order for 3 more bags. Please Judees!!! Don’t change your product or price it to where it’s out of mine and others price range. I am a customer for life. Thank you for a great product. AND....You can make cheese with it.

This is great!
Story time: Quarantine has begun and we are in need to stock up on necessities. In my family, only one person (me) goes out to the grocery store to get what we need. We MUST lower the amount of time we are out to once every two weeks. I made myself a cute cloth face mask with really colorful owls on it. We have a one year old child who is still getting a lot of nutrients from whole milk. Not to mention I have to drink milk because if I don't, I end up becoming VERY sick. I don't know if there is such a thing as reverse lactose intolerance, but if there is, I have it. I am not exaggerating, it is gross. So, one gallon does not last in our household for very long. Freezer space is very limited in our house, though if we bought two gallons of milk and put one in the freezer we would be fine. It still doesn't last us the full two weeks. Our store has also limited the amount of milk we can buy at once (2 gallons). So, I look to Google to find powdered milk (our stores were cleaned out of the stuff, not to mention it was low fat milk). I spent hours looking through reviews, and though there were some here that made me worry a little bit, I finally bit the bullet and put it in my cart. Then I spent more hours looking at other reviews again. FINALLY, though, I ordered it. It came and I waited a couple days before even touching the box it came in. Opened it up and proceeded to make a batch of this milk. I have never had powdered milk before and I was apprehensive for some stupid reason. It is, after all, just milk. Says it right on the package. And let me tell you, this stuff tastes GREAT. At least, it tastes great if you like milk. I like milk. I think it has a great flavor. I like it way better than the store bought gallon milk. And now we can bunker down for at least 3 weeks before food starts to run a little low (I stocked up our pantry like I was a crazy person).

Because I live alone, fresh milk goes bad before I can use it
Powdered milk allows me to make only what I need when I need it. I use this powdered milk with cold water in my latte machine to produce some really great foam for my tea (I have never liked coffee). I also make milk to go with the granola cereal I buy. This powdered milk blends easily into the cold water I keep in the filtered water pitchers in the fridge. Tastes just like the carton of milk I would buy at the store!

So much better than any milk powder I've tried - great for cocoa!
I don't have tons of experience with milk powder because of the terrible quality of most. I bought this one as it's rated one of the best - and it is! I was baking with it so wasn't too worried, but made a "glass" of it based on the instructions and chilled it in the fridge. While still not as perfect as a glass of milk from the cow, it's actually really good! Perfect replacement for fake creamer or taking camping. I made cocoa mix with it for the holidays and it was perfect for that!
