what age is this recommended for?

I bought it when my grandson was not quite one years old, along with the set of animals. He was quite intrigued with the different colors then. Now he is 14 months and is understanding the concept - when I show him the number 1, I say "1" and he copies and says "1". I show him a cow and say to him "what does a cow say" - he says "mooo". He also makes sounds for other animals I show him. I think it's great visual teaching for toddlers.
