Imagine, a hot sauce with flavor and great heat, enter Rogue.
This is a fantastic hot sauce, it brings a good punch of heat mixed with a good punch of flavor. While many hot sauces are hot for the sake of being hot, High River understands that people want to enjoy their food as well. I've done a lineup of chicken wings with Rogue, Grapes of Wrath, Foo Foo Mama Choo along side a few other brands like Ghost Pepper & Blueberry (Bravado), Blairs Mega Death Sauce, Franks, and a couple of others and all the folks eating it favored Rogue (and Grapes of Wrath as well) over all the others. The balance of fruit, but not too fruity, heat but not scorch your face was well received. Of course, it should be noted, this isn't a "mild" sauce, for those that are timid about hot sauces should beware. The ratios I used for our standard hot wings was 1-part butter to 2-parts Rogue. For those that were okay with hot, but not too okay with hot, I did 1:1 ratio of butter to rogue and they were good with it. The balance of butter to rogue really allows the flavor to shine and the heat to subside to tolerable levels even for someone that finds jalapeno's "just enough" heat. I also enjoy it on my eggs in the morning, in my chili, on ruffle potato chips and to add a kick to my salsa (daughter likes "medium" I like "hot" so we buy medium and I spike mine with rogue)

The best of the flavor heavy sauces by far
I love hot sauce, but I hate the โokayโ ones. A good sauce comes in a variety of forms, from the punchy ones to the slow burn, to the subtle to a powerful flavor. This is my favorite of the flavorful ones. The taste is delicious. Sweet but savory. Neatly complex, you can taste the flavors clearly and pronounced the second you taste it. Great notes of orange are immediately present, with a noticeable apple cider vinegar taste. You could call the effect โTabasco-yโ but Iโll honestly never buy a bottle of Tabasco again after trying good sauces. While this sauce definitely shows its vinegar, itโs by no means overpowering. It works great with the fruity, citrusy part of the mix. I canโt say I can pick apart the individual fruits all at once, but the flavor is just amazing on this sauce! Just phenomenal. The scorpion pepper gives a nice bite, too. I wouldnโt classify this sauce as a superhot, maybe a step or two below that. It definitely has to potential to hurt but the heat really gets quelled by the sweetness of it all. Not a bad thing though. This sauce is amazing, it is very non-viscous, like Tabasco ironically. Pours out in heaps when I want it to, and thatโs usually how I eat it.. I pour it out in heaps when I want to taste this sweet, savory, bold and brash sauce. Iโve gone through about 6 bottles since my introduction to this sauce, and since itโs so nicely priced on Amazon Iโm likely gonna pick this up in bulk from now on. Please never stop making this sauce.

Saw it on First We Feasts "Hot Ones" Not disappointed!
Saw it on the show Hot Ones on youtube, great little youtube show if you haven't seen it by the way. Anyways, was really interested in this one because it was always the one that seemed to take the heat up a notch while people complemented its flavor. It does not disappoint in either of those categories. If I had to give a comparison I would say its akin to Tobasco in the texture (very runny, careful pouring this!) and smell. When it comes to flavor however it was everything I hoped ; you're first met with a great tasting sweet citrusy flavor, but don't get comfortable because the heat does start to invade not five seconds after. The heat also has a nice linger to it, but that flavor will keep you coming back for more. I love it on rice and chicken breasts, I've even gone as far as putting it on some hot fries chips. I like to think I do well with hot foods so this is a great sauce that can provide some great heat while keeping a awesome flavor. If you're on the fringe about this one, I recommend it 100%. (please restock!)

Want my opinion? Read on...
It's a good sauce, don't get me wrong. It has flavor, and is a bit sweet like I somehow expected. The only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars is because it has "scorpion" in the name- reminiscent of the Trinidad scorpion pepper ;which is face melting (also the reason I bought it). It just doesn't deserve that name. Maybe the "blood orange" should have given that away. Have you ever had a blood orange? Ehh. They're ok. Kind of like this sauce. I like it, I'll use it. S#!+, I'll probably buy more. Will I describe this as the best sauce I've ever had? The hottest sauce I've ever owned? The best thing since sliced bread? No. No I won't. 4 stars it is. If you're not a glutton for punishment, you can handle this sauce. Hell my mother in law loves it, and she's scared of habaneros (which are far milder than scorpions, btw). So get some, and leave your own review. There, I said it. Have a nice day.

Hot but not exvessive. Yummy
Not overly hot but a great taste and slight but no pain afterburn. Recommended

Not too hot, watery consistency, vinegary flavor
I was swayed by the good reviews and the sweet components. Upon receipt - mehh, it's pretty alright, but nothing special. A bit sweet, a noticeable vinegar tone to the flavor, and not really that hot (says he after swigging a lil' bit straight from the bottle). Save your money, get something from Torchbearer, guys-n-gals! :) (not a paid advertisement, promise)

just don't get too cocky
this might be my new favorite hot sauce! has a great, tangy, citrusy taste to it, and then the jolokia heat comes in. like it really comes in lol... i made the mistake of trying a bit, going MMMM..... and then having a bunch more right away. i definitely know to treat this sauce with a bit more respect now. it didn't kill me, i have the Mad Dog 357 sauce and this is nothing compared to that in terms of outright heat, but it's much tastier. at least i have to assume the 357 doesn't taste as good because my whole mouth is dying after having some of that haha. this High River Rogue is a great sauce though, anyone who just doesn't get the feeling from frank's red hot or el yucateco needs to try this guy.

Dark, Tangy, and Hot
If you want something light in viscosity that brings on flavor and heat, than the Moruga Blood Orange Scorpion pepper sauce is for you. This is a sweeter sauce but do not let that dissuade you from trying it in everything. Brings on the burn but does not skimp on flavor to do so. Nothing is worse than something that gets a 5/5 in heat but a 0/5 in flavor. Rogue's sauce is definitely NOT that. High scores in both flavor and heat. It's a little thinner than some chunkier hot sauces so make sure you are careful not to overpour. Give it a try. It burns so good.
