desertcart.com: The Kosher Sutras: A Yogi's Guide to the Torah (The Jewish Way in Yoga & Meditation Book 1) eBook : Freed, Marcus: Books Review: What a gem of a book! - I love this book which is a page turner! Marcus Freed gives a refreshing and unique perspective on how traditional Yoga practices can align with traditional Jewish spiritual learning so that 1 + 1 = 100! He beautifully weaves together classical Yoga teachings with classical Jewish teachings, showing how one can "physicalize" Jewish teachings into yoga poses. The book is very well written, conveys the author's catchy sense of humor throughout and includes tons of good pictures so that the reader can practice the poses. Review: I LOVE this book! - Marcus provides a fascinating parallel between classical eastern thought, meditation, yoga, and the Torah and weaves all of them together to show that Jewish thought, and Kabballah, contain a spiritual and yogic soul as well. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in spirituality, meditation, deep Jewish thought, yoga, or kabbalah.

A book like this comes along once in a generation
Rarely do books transcend just being a book to a text you can have a relationship with. The Kosher Sutras makes this leap in all departments, and provides rich and ample opportunity to connect physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually to every chapter and topic. Marcus Freed is a master of creating multithreaded opportunities to connect to a single idea from numerous perspectives simultaneously, and in a way that’s effortless for the readers even while embarking on new physical adventures in yoga. This is a classic for the generations, and even further—-its a book that goes where no Yogi has gone before.

Brilliant mix of health of body and soul
Mr. Freed has created an insightful guide to a deeper understanding of yoga by applying the 3000 year old insights on the relationship of the body and the soul through the wisdom of the Kabbalah. This practical application of form reflecting deeper connection makes this a unique and valuable exercise text with clear images to help you through awakening who you are.

Very Special Book
As a yoga teacher who primarily teaches Shabbat Yoga, this book is so helpful in expanding what I can share with others. There aren't many resources for Jewish embodied spiritual practices, and this one is accessible and comprehensive. I will learn much from this book. Thank you so much for your special offering.
