Olaplex N°.3 Bond Building Hair Perfector: Concentrated Pre-Shampoo Treatment

This honestly is the best product my hair has ever seen, better than the N3 plus also. For whoever wants more details: The photo is my hair WITH NO LEAVE IN, nothing at all, after the second treatment, for my kind of hair this is an unbelievable result!! I know there's frizz etc but it's really fantastic for my kind of hair which usually wouldn't be like this with no leave in!! I've got a 3b thin curly hair, medium porosity (one section high porosity and some sections low porosity). Wash it usually 3 times a week, sometimes twice a week in the winter, sometimes nearly everyday in the summer. Very low maintenance hair, recharging keratin once in 2 months maybe, nutrition twice a month and vinegar to help with the hard water effects every time I felt it. All shower treatments only without much struggle. Used to apply henna, but at some point decided to die with a tradicional hair die, colour was perfect, but hair texture was absolutely ruined! 3 months later, went to a salon in my home country and the hairdresser told me to look into a "anti rubberer" for hair (I know this doesn't exist. It's just the closest translation I could do) and searching in native language olaplex n3 appeared. My hair after the application was just incredible, even with no leave in its FANTASTIC. It's really really good! Lasted me 11 full applications and a bit more. I then decided to buy the olaplex n3 plus, which was a HUGE mistake. Hair feels like a oil sticks on it and never leaves. I regret is so much, I don't want to use, and it was sooo expensive. Will definitely be back to this product, worth every penny.

I tried Olaplex No. 3 Hair Perfector when my hair was in serious trouble. Bleached, heat-damaged, and frizzy everywhere, it felt like straw and every brush stroke was a small tragedy. Decided to give this bond-repair stuff a go, and honestly I’m impressed. From first use I could feel my hair softer. I applied it after washing but before conditioning, left it on for about 20 minutes with a towel wrap, then washed out. My ends, which were previously dry and crispy, felt way smoother. The frizz calmed down noticeably, and I didn’t have that crunchy stiffness I usually get after drying. What’s cool is how this treatment goes beyond just surface-level shine. The active ingredient olaplex uses (bis-aminopropyl diglycol dimaleate) claims to repair the internal bonds, those disulfide bonds that bleach and heat are always wrecking. Reading reviews, lots of folks say hair is stronger, less breakage, maybe even more elastic. For me I saw less shedding in the shower, which is always satisfying. It’s not perfect though. The smell is a bit strong kind of chemical-y, so if you’re sensitive to smells it might bug you. Also if you use too much or leave it on super long, it can weigh finer hair down, make roots greasy or limp. So using just the right amount and rinsing well matters. And it’s pricey worth it if your hair really needs help, maybe less so if your hair is already pretty healthy. All in all, this is a keeper. It’s not magic overnight, but with consistent use once a week, my hair’s gone from limp and damaged to manageable, smoother, healthier-looking. If your locks have been through the wringer, this will make you feel like you have them back.

This product I know is already extremely popular. It is a go to for pre-shampooing hair health. It smells beautiful and you don’t need to use a lot of it to get the quality results that you would from Olaplex. I would highly recommend just read all the other fantastic reviews. There is truth in it. My hair is never looking at such a good quality. It’s a Chinese smooth and thick. I have always had issues with split ends in the past but that is a issue of the past.

My blonde highlighted hair is over bleached, over straightened and has been damaged by the winter weather. Every time I brushed my hair I was finding broken bits everywhere. It looked like I’d had half a fringe cut in as the front of my hair had broken so badly. My hair is really thick, so this is the first time this had happened and and I only have my highlights done about every 8 weeks.... I’d used supermarket deep conditioners which didn’t really do very much. Someone suggested Olaplex - my understanding is that this one (number 3) is really only supposed to be used after you’ve had treatments 1&2 in a salon, but I thought I’d have a bash with number 3 on its own anyway. The bottle is TINY - it’s only 100mls, so you’re not getting much for your money. Amazon also helpfully put their own sticker over the instructions on the back so I had to google what to do with it. I think there’s a few ways to do it, but I got in the shower, wet my hair but didn’t shampoo or condition it. Wrapped it up in a towel, let it towel dry for half hour or so. Put a generous amount of Olaplex on (enough to feel it in my hair - my hair is very thick and quite long and I only used about 10% of the bottle) and combed it through with a wide tooth comb. I then wrapped it up in cling film for a few hours and then slept in it. Next morning I rinsed off in the shower and shampooed and conditioned as per the instructions. In all honesty, there’s not ‘much’ difference. It’s certainly not the miracle cure I’d hoped for in one wash as there’s still a lot of broken hair when I brush. Saying that though, I’ve still given it 4 stars as my hair does feel a bit softer and I suppose the front does look a bit less frazzled. Again, I think number 3 is supposed to be used as a top up after 1&2 at a salon so it was probably never going to work 100%. I think I’ll use it once a week and see how it goes. Ultimately, if you don’t have time or funds to get to a salon for 1&2, it’s worth a bash as it’s definitely better than the supermarket deep conditioning treatments.

Olaplex is fab. Recommended by hairdressers as the formula scientifically bonds your hair strands. Sometimes it even feels like the condition of my hair has vastly improved as a result of the bonding. I am someone that has poor condition, bleached hair, but Olaplex certainly gives my hair more of a chance strength wise. I recommend using it a couple of times a week if you can. The downside is the pricing, but for what it does I understand the pricing point and you can get a fair amount of usage from it.

I have thinning naturally brown curly hair that was always breaking and super frizzy regardless of whatever I threw at it. Tried every oil, a thousand different conditoners and masks, things like Nioxin, and nothing ever worked. Knew about Olaplex but assumed it was only something you mix into hair dye. Was planning on dying my hair for the first time ever, so did some research and it turns out that's only available to salons, but there is a version that can be used anytime and bought by consumers - this product. Used it on freshly cleansed hair, left on for 30mins and it fixed 95% of my problem with frizz and breakage, even with my bed hair. Went on to actually dye my hair (using this the night before and a few days after dyeing) and had no noticable hair damage. The only issue I have is that it does not turn into a lather. I tried on towl dried damp hair as instructed as well as hair that was practically dunked in water and it still didn't lather either time. This made it hard to tell if I was using too much or if it was applied evenly. It's also arguably quite expensive, but I haven't had to use it reguarly as part of a routine, so it goes for a long time. I would say the bottle gets 4-5 uses out of my medium-length hair.

Whilst this is a great product it’s not at suitable for travelling. This is the second time I’ve bought it, taken it travelling, and it’s leaked all over my toiletry bag. Annoyed as it’s not cheap. The product itself thought does work well and really improves my hair. But keep it at home
