Simply- easy to use- what more can you ask for- basic but more than does the job- fits easily into your pocket or bag- not to large- very clear to listen to when in conversation

A very good 'old school' basic Nokia phone. Ideal as a spare or second phone. I use it when travelling to insert a local sim card. Excellent battery life - up to 5 days on standby

This phone came with a two pin plug and the predictive test appears in a language which has a lot of umlauts and zeds in it. I think it might be for the eastern european market? So texting takes rather a long time. However I have have two of these phones before, (english versions!) and I find them fine for my purposes, they are reasonably robust providing you don't put them through the washing machine, as is my habit. Suggest check before buying which plug they have.

I have had a good few fones in my time. i researched what i wanted and i got what i ordered. for a basic fone it is ideal. the buttons are definite in their actions, no accidental pushing of another button. mine was sim free and there were no problems using various sim cards. i was fed up of my touchscreen fone and this has helped bring me back to the fold. My only wish is that it had bluetooth

Although it said the gone was NOT LOCKED, it was! I think this was a "hot" gone as NO ONE could unlock it! Tried several traders in different countries, in vain!

Limited choice of ring tones. I wanted a conventional ring tone but have had to be content with the least obtrusive/embarrassing one, which sounds like a staggered tune on a xylophone. It is nice to handle and neat but I often can't distinguish what is being said. Never experienced that before with other cheap mobiles. Rest of my family have same provider and they don't have that problem.

Bin von dem Handy komplett überzeugt: + + + + + 1. leicht und genau die richtige Größe/ Dicke für die Hosentasche 2. absolut günstiger und fairer Preis 3. großes Display 4. Intuitive Bedienung, angenehme Tastatur, super T9 5. Ausstattung reicht für den täglichen Gebrauch und darüber hinaus - Nun das einzige Manko: Die Tasten knacken beim Drücken, was in stillen Momenten, wo man "mal eben" eine SMS schreiben möchte, echt nervt.

Das Handy hat bei der Nutzung veralteter Firmware einige Macken. Wie ich lesen konnte, sind diese aber in der aktuellsten Firmwareversion 6.51. alle behoben. Ich hatte das Handy Ende Januar 2012 direkt bei Amazon bestellt und das Handy wurde mit der aktuellsten Firmware ausgeliefert. Mein Intensivtest hat gezeigt, dass die auch hier in anderen Rezessionen beschriebenen Fehler nicht auftraten. In Anbetracht des relativ niedrigen Preises vergebe ich darum die volle Punktzahl. Was mir besonders gut gefällt: 1.) die lange Akkulaufzeit (selbst bei ca. 1 Stunde täglichem Telefonieren hält das Teil eine Woche durch, das ist man von modernen Smartphones nicht mehr gewöhnt) 2.) gute Gesprächsqualität, auch bei wenig Empfang 3.) im Vergleich zu meinem Samsung Galaxy 2 habe ich öfter Empfang (gleiches Netz; könnte aber wohl auch damit zusammenhängen, dass das Smartphone grundsätzlich im UMTS-Modus eingewählt ist und sich dann erst in einem UMTS-Funkloch ins GSM-Netz einwählen will; das Nokia 1800 hat ja gar kein UMTS) 4.) der "sprechende Wecker" (den kannte ich von Vorgängermodellen dieser Preisklasse noch nicht) 5.) relativ leistungsstarke Taschenlampe 6.) man kann einen "normalen" 3,5 mm Kopfhörer anschließen (ein Headset ist auch im Lieferumfang enthalten und darüber geführte Gespräche haben eine gute Qualität; das habe ich bei einem Produkt von Samsung in ähnlicher Preislage auch schon anders erlebt) 7.) die intuitive Nokia-Bedienoberfläche (die hatte ich bei meinem Samsung Smartphone vermisst; echt schade, dass Nokia den Smartphonetrend verschlafen hat) Was mir weniger gut gefällt: 1.) die Tasten haben einen sehr festen Druckpunkt (könnte mir vorstellen, dass das für Dauer-SMS-Schreiber gesundheitsgefährdend werden kann) 2.) der Druckpunkt der Tasten liegt teilweise nicht genau mittig (da muss man sich dran gewöhnen) Nachtrag: ich habe meine Bewertung um einen Stern herabgestuft, da ich folgendes Phänomen beobachte: wird das Gerät neu aufgeladen, während es angeschaltet ist, lässt sich danach kein Gespräch mehr aufbauen. Rufaufbau wird angezeigt, danach bricht der Vorgang aber ab. Nach Neustart des Handys funktioniert es dann wieder fehlerfrei.
