Is butane for this tool readily available?

there is no butane included the tool/PRO-50, please buy the extra butan cartridge to refill the tool before operation.

Anyone had experience with using the hot air version?

I have not used the hot air version, this unit worked well, small/compact and did the job.

Where can i find replacement tips?

You can find tips for it from different companies under different names on Amazon you just have to search for them !! It's basically the same torch that Radio Shack sales and is never in stock...but the tips are still available for it.

Got this on may 13 and it stopped working. flame was getting lower regardless of setting. seithched butjaes brands and tips not working . refund pleas
