Great product for a great price.
I bought an older diesel truck that came with a CD player and a tape cassette player. No aux ports or connections, so I was looking at changing out the entire deck to the tune of $1,200 to be able to connect my phone with Bluetooth. I found this Bluetooth cassette and it works awesome! No hanging wires, easy connection to phone. The charge lasts along time. Reconnects to phone when you run into store and come back out. Sounds as good as the CD player.

Great sound quality, good bang for buck.
Works great, connects to Bluetooth quickly, good battery life, excellent clear sound quality (no static or distortion), and cheaper than a completely new radio. My only complaint is I wish it had an on/off switch and a separate pairing button instead of one button that you hold to turn it on or off. Some of the other reviews mention the plastic gears in the cassette are noisy, but they blend in with the mk4 Jetta interior rattles, so it doesn’t bother me at all.Reviews mentioning poor sound quality are 100% user error too. This thing has worked flawlessly since day one. Make sure your cassette reader is clean.

A good alternative to replacing your car stereo
This adapter works very well for streaming music into my factory car stereo, which I’d rather not replace since it sounds and looks good. The battery lasts a long time and it pairs effortlessly with my phone. However, there are a few minor annoyances that come with it. The gears inside are a bit noisy. There are several YouTube videos showing possible fixes. Ultimately, I put a light coating of petroleum jelly on all of the gears and it quieted them down to an acceptable level. Also, while the sound quality is good, it seems to be a little heavy on treble, and light on bass. I simply adjust the EQ on the stereo to the sound I want. Not a deal breaker for me at all. Overall, I would recommend this cassette adapter to anyone looking to bring their tape deck into the modern era of streaming. For the price it can’t be beat.

Great for older cars keeping the OEM look.
I needed something that was simple that would work with my '99 jdm toyota celsior. I really like the OEM aesthetic of the original touch screen nav unit. This works great. For the price no complaints. A quick tip if you are getting distortion try turning your phones volume down just a bit and adjusting the vehicle volume up. I've used a few of these and at least on older toyota & lexus models this seems to do the trick. The battery seems to last. It charged quick and I use it about 40-50min a day for the past 2 weeks and it hasn't given me any indication that it needs a charge. So far so good

Unreliable
Works great and sounds good for about a month but now the cassette will only play music through the right side of my speakers in my car.

Good easily outweighs the bad.
There is a noise when in use, basically the sound of cheap plastic gears clicking lightly as they rotate. For me, the sound wasn't bad enough to spoil the good points of the device, and the noise is decreasing as I use it.The plus points are everything else. Solid playback quality, easy connection to my phone and plugs into my car charger to keep charged. For $20, it's a no-brainer.

Works for my Intended Use (1996 Harley)
I purchased this cassette adapter to use on my 1996 Harley. The sound coming out of the now-30 year old speakers sounds perfectly fine for what I wanted. This product allows for me to enjoy my entire catalogue of music, as well as the ability to use Google Maps to hear where I need to go. If you're an audiophile, don't expect the world out of this product.

Works great, just noisy until lubricated (read for how to lube)
I tried this as-is and it worked great...but it was VERY noisy. Not sure why the company makes it this way when it would be so simple to fix during production.Anyhow, here's how I fixed mine and how I got there.- Other reviews recommended removing all gears. I tried that and my cassette deck spit the bluetooth tape back out. Did not work.- Other reviews suggest to just remove the three small gears. I tried that, lubed the remaining gears and my cassette deck spit the bluetooth tape back out. Did not work.- I put all the gears back in, lubed them all well with Precision Lithium grease (non-conductive type) and tried that. The tape player did not reject the tape and my music started playing. Success! It was MUCH quieter this way as well.My advice: Keep all the gears in for maximum compatibility but lube all the gears (and the posts the gears are on and under the gears themselves) and everything will work as it should and it'll be virtually silent (all you will hear is the motor on your cassette deck whirring).Just take extra care when you remove the 6 screws and "pop" the halves open. My gears all flew off but fortunately I was able to figure out how to put them back together. Use the pics some folks have provided here for guidance. The lube I used was DeoxIT lithium grease. It's good stuff and it is plastic safe (the gears are plastic). And about the "bad audio" claims. This is a function of how dirty your tape head is and how well it is aligned. The audio sounds great when both are taken care of. So take the "bad audio" reviews with a grain of salt.
