Review: Perfect for a medium textured refreshed look on decks. - I had built several decks in my back yard a few years ago with pressure treated lumber and some where partially under trees. The decks had faded somewhat and many areas had algae growing on them making them extremely slippery when wet. I was looking for a product to refresh the decks and add a non-skid grit to them. This product is exactly that. It arrived timely, was well shaken and "ready to use. It went down very easily with a regular roller. It dried quickly and looks great and had a very nice and "safe" grit texture. I did prep the algae areas by washing with Clorox to kill the algae first. I also did a vertical wood shed with the product. It also went on well and I am very pleased. If your decks are severally weathered and cracked, perhaps Rustoleum Renew 10X is more appropriate because it fills in large cracks (I also bought to try). But if you are looking for a fresh textured medium non-skid surface on your decks you will be very satisfied with this product. Review: Great paint for walkways - If you need some none slippery paint on your walkways this should work for you. I would recommend that you purchase a cheap paint stir wheel/stick for your drill to thoughly mix this before use. I didn't, I just used a stick, that's not good enough for this paint. Even so it still did a great job, but by the time you get to the bottom third of your paint can, where a lot of the sand is, your paint will be VERY thick. On my 2nd can I bought and used a stirrer and that was not an issue. The paint covers really well and I like the dark redwood color I picked. Quite a bit cheaper here on desertcart also than what I could get locally.

Sent as a gift to a friend that has harsh weather in and round his deck, says it ought to help preserve the wood very well.

Avoid disaster don’t buy
I used this paint on my deck. It resulted in the worst paint job ever. The surface was lumpy, rough and looked blotchy. To make maters more difficult the seller ignored my complaints. I had to file an A to Z claim to get my money back. Anvil doesn’t care about customers. I have to hire someone to sand, prep and repaint my deck. Avoid a disaster, don’t buy.

It has been about a year since we scrubbed, cleaned, and then applied the product to our deck. Unfortunately, it s already peeling and is not doing the job as advertised.

Buy more then you need to!
This stuff is extremely thick! I have a tiny tiny deck and thought one can would be enough with some left over. Boy oh boy was I wrong. I am thinking I need at least one more or two more to be on the safe side. Im seeing reviews saying it is too thick for the roller. I had absolutely no problem with it. What I did was just go to the paint store and picked up something specifically designed for the deck and these kinds of jobs. It did a great job and was very very quick

Very nice deck paint.
Pretty nice paint. Way better than the rust-o-leum product sold by Home Depot.
