Amazing product compared to other units
I did the cardinal sin and ordered this without reading the reviews. Then it was like oh s*** what did I get myself into? A little background, this will be the 3rd portable a/c in as many years. Both old ones 8,000 and 10,000 btu unit. Both as loud as an airplane and couldn't keep my 12x12 vaulted ceiling room cool. So I thought, one more time, but this time I'll go for a 14,000 btu beast. The rollicool was a great price point and advertised wireless and alexa. So I dove in and got it. When it arrived, it was a little larger than expected but other than that pretty standard. I have experience setting these up, so no issues there. Turned it on and it was so quiet... Too quiet. Must be something wrong? It cycled on the a/c with almost no noticeable volume increase. Wow! A plus as all my others were too loud. It immediately started cooling the room. Not just blowing cold air, but the temperature went down in the middle of the afternoon, sun beating through the window. Before I knew it, the temperature was at 74. And it stayed there. 2 days now of extreme heat and this unit has worked wonders. I truly am floored. I wasn't expecting it to work this well under any circumstances but am truly amazed at how it has performed. Absolutely no issues that others have commented on. Wireless and alexa setup were simple and easy and worked on the first try.

App was too complicated...
The unit never cooled down anything. This was the third portable unit Iโve purchased and the app was the thing I was most interested in. My 6000 btu unit thatโs 7 years old still works like a champ. I have an amazon basics 14000 btu thatโs a year old that also works like a champ but as the name suggests itโs basic as far as controls/remote goes. Thatโs why I bought this one thinking โcooling off amazon basics +appโ not the case at all. The app was more complicated than my Nest for my house. But I eventually got the hang of it. I write software for a living so Iโm always hard on any software review but like I said it was more complicated than my Nest, so you be the judge. Like I said the unit was defective and never cooled at all so after two days I returned it and decided to Not sell my amazon basics and live with the basic remote features. (Having to point a device at a device to remote control it even for a tv seems archaic to me in the year 2020) but if it works??? I choose not to reorder/replace because the app was too complex when all I really wanted was the basic control features but just in an app and not on a remote. Noise level- is the same as may other portables. Itโs not quiet but the white noise is not distracting at all. A baby can sleep next to it. Iโma volume of tv 4 person. I have to turn it to 6-7 with this running. Not quite but not distracting. Warmth- it never worked. But many people are reporting defective units so thatโs not a good sign so I didnโt give them a second shot. Remote- too complicated. Overall-get an amazon basics and keep pointing a remote at a device to control it ๐

Best decision for a little AC unit
Rollicool 14,000 btu model review. I live in the Pacific Northwest Washington and we get a few really hot days in the summer not too bad because the nights are about 57 degrees, it just hit a 95 degree day yesterday and I didn't want a big window unit in my house when I ordered this. I am planning on using it just during the day until it cools off at night, so not running it all the time. This was the perfect option for my one level 1512 sq. ft. house. This is one neat little portable AC unit. I love the LED touch screen on the top, the louvers to direct the air go up pretty far so it's not just going down on the floor or straight out the front. I love the oscillating option on this model so that it blows the air like an oscillating fan would back and forth and not just straight out in one spot in front. The app was set up was kinda tricky but I got it set up on my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 just fine and connected it to my Alexa echo dots too. It is set at 77 and so far is keeping things comfortable. It is pretty quiet for an AC unit, I have box fans that make more noise than this unit does. Easy set up too. I will have to purchase some weather stripping foam for where the vent sits in the sill, but other than that so far I am happy I purchased this brand and size unit. It also has rolling casters on it that I like and some other brands don't have. Also I like the cleanable filters so no buying anything else for it. Also it's square and not shaped like some others are, which I like very much. So far this is a great buy!!

Pretty good
Nice unit, the lights are very bright and do not dim or turn off...I have to use a dark shirt to cover it at night. It's also pretty loud. The low setting is still pretty high and so it makes our bedroom pretty darn cold which is great, but it doesnt actually stop cooling when it reaches the desired temp. I usually end up turning it off in the middle of the night and then wake up hot a few hours later hah. Not sure what the solution is there.

WILL NOT WORK, and CANT GET ANY SERVICE SUPPORT !!!
I have used this 4 times and the compressor starting making a funny noise and starting shaking, and just quit working at all. It was used for a total of about 5-6 hours total !!! I have called Rollibot support line numerous times, left messages with name and phone number, emailed and have yet to receive a response at all !!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT to anybody !!!

Cools well, will need parts replaced after a year
From my personal experience this will cool about a 700sqft room. It will take about an hour at max settings but it does work. The set-up is frustrating because the exhaust hose is cheap and the parts are hard to get attached to eachother. Figuring out how the window seal works is another story in itself. The app works at times but most of the time I found myself having to get out of bed and manually turn it off because the app was not responding. I would say this unit deserves some credit for its cooling power but its energy consumption is about 3 times the amount of a window unit. ***Update the oscillation motor gave out so it does not move the air around the room anymore it just sits at an awkward angle

Money well spent!!!
I can't say enough good things about this RolliBot!! My expectations were hopeful but unsure since majority of the reviews are either very positive OR not at all...There are many different units that are cheaper but i decided to follow through with this and im soooo glad i did!!! Right before moving into a new place that didnt have an AC in the bedroom i figured its a must have that'll benefit not only my fiance that's always hot but myself as well (Always beneficial when the "gift" works in your favor as well!!๐) This arrived quickly and the box arrived in good condition. I opened it and read the directions prior to following them properly, fitting the plastic pieces into an open window (unfortunately the screws that came with do not fit the holes made for them in the plastic, in order to secure the plastic in place.) Fortunately the window isn't too big and with the mesh window outside it holds well regardless. Only real pain in the rear was trying to screw in and secure the actual hoes to into their fitted inserts going into the Rollibot and the other end going out the window..After spending 10min total just on getting the hoes inside both fitted parts and securing everything together in its designated place it was time to turn on the unit....IT DIDN'T DISAPPOINT!!! In 90* weather it was a cool 67* in the bedroom (down to where we had a warm comforter on the bed in the summer and that kept it nice and cool/warm...Its now october and guess what...we still use our RolliBot every night, after the few months of daily use we are so used to its white noise as well as the fact that at night it still gets pretty warm when sleeping so we keep it at a 72* and its perfect....Money well spent!!!

The worst air conditioning unit I've ever bought!
This 14000 BTU unit was a waste of money, time and hard labor. I used it on two occasions ...maybe 8 hours total. The exhaust unit doesn't fit properly, there was water all over the floor...over a gallon....because it dehumidfies rather than cools. And yes...I had it on the right settings. Finally it just stopped working altogether. No power, no troubleshooting. It was dead. I called customer service...they said send it back and they'd look at it. I contacted Amazon and they refunded my $430 outlay....back into my account at Amazon! As and when I sent it back. Now that's the way to make sure you don't purchase another unit elsewhwere. This piece of crap weighs over 100 pounds. Try repacking and delivering this to Staples UPS when you're 72 years old, and have two hip replacements and a really bad back. Amazon needs better quality control over the items is sells and a pick up service when the products fail. James
