Perfect Easter present

I had to take a star off because the boozy flavours were a bit TOO strong for me! I didn't take off more than 1 star because these are supposed to be boozy chocolates, to be fair, but neat spirits aren't really too my taste and these are a bit too close to the taste of having a neat shot rather than a chocolate! Chocolate quality obviously good as it always is from HC though.

Chocolates are film wrapped and undamaged. Best before is 12 weeks away which is ample. Box was not sealed closed but the packs were all intact inside. Melt in the mouth chocolates, what’s not to like?

Love Hotel Chocolat products and bought these as a present. The chocolates arrive in indivual trays, a selection of six in six different flavours but not in a traditional Hotel Chocolat box as I had erroneously expected but in a brown cardboard box with the delivery labels attached. Hence, even though the chocs themselves look good, not acceptable to give as a present. I obviously kept the item as I love these chocolates but would not have ordered if I had realised the lack of presentation. Also the best before date was very short which I personally feel has slightly affected the flavour.

I usually buy the long sleekster box of tipsy truffles from Hotel Chocolat, but this Selectors Collection is much better value and just as many truffles as the sleekster. My hubby is very happy with his. They arrived well packaged and look fresh. They have a good long use by date too.

Delicate , luxurious and fantastic taste to the chocolat. And with every penny of money spent .
