meaning that it made things somewhat better. A few times after months and months the ...
I've only had this product for maybe 4 days. I have plantar fascitis and a heel spur that I've been dealing with on and off for a few years. I have the $400 or thereabouts custom orthotics, I've gotten the cortisone shots, have the tennis ball under my desk, done the frozen water bottles. Everything worked SOMETIME to some extent, meaning that it made things somewhat better. A few times after months and months the pain would actually go away. I will honestly say I thought these heel cups were outrageously priced. I would have thought that $10 - $15 would be a far more reasonable price. I"ve bought heel cups and heel shock supports before and these are significantly more money. nevertheless I bought this. I can report that I've now had 4 days pain-free. To be perfectly honest while I'd be upset if these stopped working tomorrow, the four days of ZERO pain are something I probably would pay $6 a day for... so I've already gotten my money's worth. I will nonetheless report back if they stop being effective, which is of course a possibility if my foot gets "used to them" and starts being messed up in a different way. Of course this doesn't mean these will work for YOU. my podiatrist told me that everything I've tried has worked for some significant percentage of his patients so this definitely looks to be one of those "throw everything at the wall and see what sticks" situations. At any rate... in case it helps anyone make up their mind here are more details about my situation: 1. plantar fasciatis injury. 2. heel spur 3. Worst pain in the am when waking up... and stepping out of bed to the point that I'd sometime have to walk on the tip of my right toes to diminish the pain. Yes I own the nighttime splint... I hate it... and I can't say I've seen that help 4. Pain also during the day, getting up from a desk after sitting, even for as short as maybe 45 minutes. Not as bad as the pain in the am but definitely something that would cause me to take the first 50 steps slower than I otherwise would 5. When warmed up the foot was pretty much fully functional. I do significant amounts of cardio workouts (mostly Zumba) and once my feet have warmed up I can do EVERYTHING the instructor can do at high intensity 6. The only shoes I own that I would truly feel comfortable in (AFTER about a week of hating them - I was told it would be this way) is a pair of bierkenstocks (the hard sole...the soft one is supposedly instantly comfortable but overall less supportive) Surprisingly after half a day of wearing these things on saturday I noticed that when I woke up on sunday morning I was in FAR LESS pain than I normally would. monday was even better and this morning I'd say I was pain free. I'm talking when getting out of bed in the am, barefoot on tile. With these on in my sneakers I've been 100% walking-pain free (I say walking because I also have some other form of general pain in my heel that comes and goes and that is not pressure-related... meaning it might or might not hurt while I'm walking and it might or might not hurt even if I'm sitting with zero pressure on the foot ... this has NOT changed at all over the past 4 days. We'll see if time heals all heels :P

Finally pain free! Saved my walking vacations! Better than hundred dollar orthotics!
When I first these I thought they were too hard and the plantar bar was too far back. In fact, they kind of hurt to use. I consigned them to a pair of slippers and used a variety of other, slightly softer orthotics... none of which really fully worked. Some mornings the plantar pain would be so bad I’d be unable to walk first thing until I’d very slowly stretched out my foot, and even then it’d be like someone shot a nail into my foot. Fast forward to a European vacation. There was going to be lots of walking on uneven surfaces like cobblestones. I threw these in last minute and they literally saved my vacation! The first day I walked around 8 miles. By the end of the day, the heel bar was hurting me quite a bit. I expected to be quite gimpy when I took off my shoes at the end of the day. I almost bought a cane because I was convinced I would be unable to walk much the rest of the trip. The first indicator that these little things are miraculous was when I took off my shoes at the end of the day and I could actually walk barefoot around the room! The next morning I was almost afraid to step out of bed but to my shock, there was only a little plantar pain. Whatever discomfort from the plantar bar was worth it (hurts so good?)! I continued to wear these (even putting them in my well cushioned sneakers) and was able to walk 5-6 miles a day throughout my trip! The discomfort from the plantar bar was gone by day three. After a week of daily use, I can honestly say that I think these are actually healing my feet as morning pain is almost gone. To say I’m overjoyed with product is an understatement. These have saved my vacations and I feel like I can actually have a more active lifestyle generally. It’s important to give these time to work. I can see people being put off by the firmness and it initially feels like the plantar bar is too far back (it wasn’t). It’s important be patient and allow time for these to work their pain relieving magic... even if the plantar bar is uncomfortable at first.

So far so good...
I have had heel pain for almost a year and saw a podiatrist who diagnosed me with plantar fasciitis. They recommended some stretches and icing the inflamed area along with taking some anti-inflammatory medication. Then they wanted to cast my feet for custom orthotics after 2 visits in a week span. I did not want to, nor could I justify the $600+ out of pocket expense I would incur from this custom product. I have insurance but my insurance will not cover "flat feet" as they put it, but would cover the orthotics if I was diabetic. Since I am not diabetic I opted to not spend the 600 dollars for something I thought would go away with the stretching and icing regiment. I was wrong. Some days I could not bear to walk or even stand especially after sleeping overnight or after long commutes in a vehicle. But I would stretch and stretch until I could stand up and walk off the pain. I wanted to find a reasonable solution to my problem so I found these heel seats. I was skeptical that these would fit my foot as I am a size 14 4e shoe/sneaker wearer but they fit great. They are uncomfortable at first but I have noticed in the 3 days I have been currently wearing them that when I take off my sneakers my feet aren't hurting. I can walk around barefoot without pain and in the morning the pain has been lessened by a lot that I am actually really impressed by this product. I will continue to update about my progress but I am most concerned about the longevity of the product. I am only walking with the the heel seat but hope to be jogging/running with these soon. So far I would recommend this product. ***UPDATE*** After about 2 weeks these inserts still seem to be reducing my heel pain. They are no longer uncomfortable with normal walking so I guess I am getting used to the feel of them. I still have heel pain but it has been reduced. When I sit for prolonged periods of time I notice the pain comes back so I know to stretch and walk around. The pain when I take off my shoes and walk barefoot has also been reduced. Hopefully after a month I still will see positive results. I have not walked for great distances with these on or ran with these on because of it being winter but I will try to test these out accordingly. ***UPDATE*** So it has been about 2 months after my purchase of these Heel Seats for my plantar fasciitis. I will have to honestly say that my pain has reached a plateau. It has not completely gone away but isn't as pervasive as it was. After long walks and long periods of standing my feet do hurt in the heel region. It is still not nearly as bad as it was when I had no extra support. I would say that this product does work but for mild to moderate pain relief. For the price I am very satisfied with the product but it has been as effective as it will probably ever be and I know that now. If I were to do it over again I would still make this purchase and also recommend to friends of mine if they had the same problems with their feet to also buy this product.

Run...don't walk...maybe hobble? and purchase these now if you have PF!
I have only had one other PF episode in my life and that was in my arch and was quickly taken care of with some A.R.T. therapy and stretching but this 2nd round of PF has been otherworldly! Heel pain so bad in my right foot I couldn't even walk on it. It would get a little better with the night sock but the minute I actually decided to even just walk to one store in a mall and back to get something I needed, it flared back up so bad that I couldn't walk for 3 days. I have tried all the things. This started in May and here we are in October and its as if the pain was just here to stay. As a runner unable to run, this was not a fun time. Would I try to run through it? Yep. Did I pay for it. Yep, and really bad. I've done all the stretching, night sock, compression socks, A.R.T. therapy, myofascial release therapy, rolling, icing, heat, stay off it, walk through it. Nothing. helped. Being at the end of my rope, on Prime Day (aka, this past Tuesday/Wednesday Oct 11/12) I decided to try these not really being hopeful that they'd work. I don't know what magic is in these things but I've progressed more in 2 days wearing them all day than I have since May. I went from barely able to walk on Monday-Tuesday, received Wednesday afternoon (ordered Tuesday) and wore for a couple of hours. Next morning I stepped out of bed and didn't yelp like usual. Hmmm...could it be? Wore all day Thursday. I went from unable to walk on Monday to almost no pain at all Friday. The "pain" I now have is not even really actual pain but something I could literally ignore. I have now switched these to my Adidas Court casual wear shoe to wear around today. They don't even take up space in the shoe and my shoes fit the same with them inside as before, they are fixing my PF and its working fast. Like I said, I don't know what magic they have but they are amazing. Also, I noticed that my PF tendon that was really tight and hard to massage or roll, it not anymore. I had areas under my ankle bone and heel that were so sore to the touch that massaging brought tears to my eyes....not the least bit of soreness in those areas now. Do not hesitate to order these! I wish I would have found these months ago and saved all that money on therapies and massages and other products that did not work, in addition to months of pain. I ordered a 2nd pair to put in my boots and their full insert for my running shoes.

I've had to be in good orthotics pretty much anytime I'm on my feet at ...
I'm recovering from heel spurs/Achilles tendon surgery, which has a one year recovery period. Part of the process is learning to walk again (basically). Also, I was fully or partially off the surgery leg for 3 months, so part of the recovery also includes stretching and strengthening everything up and getting to work together normally again. I've had to be in good orthotics pretty much anytime I'm on my feet at the beginning. About 6 months in, small issues (comparatively speaking) with the plantar fascia became noticeable. I'm not sure if the Achilles tendon irritated it or it irritated the Achilles tendon, but towards the end of the day, I would notice all around was unhappy. One of the things I discovered helping when I had been sitting for an extended period was massaging both before I got up; that usually got me moving well and at least relatively pain free within 50 steps. I don't have full blown plantar fasciitis at this time (first thing in the morning is my best time for example), though I have in the past on this foot. Fast forward, I ran across these in my never-ending search for aids through this process. They kind of act like a foot roller massager or pressure point therapy for the base of the plantar fascia connecting to the heel bone. It is not an arch support. I am finding if I slip them into my socks before putting the socks on, it does a nice job of letting me walk "barefoot" even without arch support, and I get the same effect of getting up and moving smoothly within about 50 steps without doing a plantar fascia massage first. In fact, at this point in my recovery (8 months and going very well, almost feel normal most of the time), these are doing more for me than arch supports. At the beginning, about 2 hours in, the foot can complain a bit but it's more of a pressure/tired feeling than pain. If I keep using them, that dissipates to a great degree. Over days, that gets less and less, though I still tend to switch shoes all day long, some with, some without, and that works well. I'm still testing that. One last note: I wear these in addition to my orthotics/arch support when present. Because of how they are built, the bump bar lands at the back of the downhill slope of the arch support, so it almost ends up acting like an extension of the arch support. If you are familiar with Vionics Sport Recovery sandals (pretty much the only shoes I could wear for the last 3 years btw), it's the same type of feeling; that the arch support is moved backward just a bit and the support apex is not lined up to the top of the top of the arch but more with the base of the heel bone. The heel cup part adds very little in the way of height as the base of the heel portion is thin enough to be translucent in the gel version of this. The heel cup does move the foot a tad bit forward in the shoe, but I like that because it takes just a little bit of pressure off the back of the heel. I would tend to recommend the gel version if you wear with good arch support shoes and the non-gel with little or no arch support. I have both.

UNIQUE! WORKS FOR PLANTAR FASCIITIS BUT...
From a practical point of view (i.e. actual results), these do work for Plantar Fascitis. Whenever my plantar fasciitis gets aggravated, I just get these out and they help alleviate the pain. I am CERTAIN THEY WORK, because I put them in only one shoe to test it and the foot with this under it almost always has less plantar fasciitis pain. HOW TO THEY WORK: They seem to work by creating a unique pressure area under your plantar fascia. It feels like a small soft bump running across your plantar fascia laterally. It feels like stepping on a very miniature "speed bump" for lack of a better word (maybe that helps stretch the plantar fascia when you take steps because your weight pressed down on the bump stretching the plantar fascia). It's a small soft bump but you definitely feel it. Bottom line is that it works but with some discomfort. BUT...There is some discomfort because of that bump. That is why I think they are a little annoying for everyday use because no one likes walking on a bump (they feel a bit awkward to walk on, but if you're in pain, they might be worth it). I don't recommend them for all the time year-round use because they are annoying to walk on. But definitely keep them around for when your plantar fasciitis pain gets aggravated. I have to admit it is a very unique product. I haven't seen anything else like this and I've tried over a dozen insoles. Also, the material feels like some sort of semi-rigid gel or rubber and so they have high friction on the surface. They tend to slide inward when you put your shoe on so you might have to figure out some way to secure it to your insole...or at least hold them down on the very edges with your figures when you slide your feet into your shoes. A major plus: they are very high quality material and will last a long time. They don't seem to wear out or lose their shape. The material and workmanship is excellent.

I think I received the wrong ones and they work!
I think I received the wrong ones. I ordered the firm ones and I received floppy ones. In both the full length and the cups. However, I am not mad at that. Those little cups are actually working for me. My activity level dropped from being highly active to almost zero. I tried a few different brand that did help a little. I put these inside my boots today. I had to put them over inserts with arch supports. I have extremely high arches. To my amazement with these in my boots I could actually walk comfortably. I did do some research and find the black pair that are for high arches and firm. Even though I asked Rufus if these were firm and got a "yes" to both pairs. Idk, I do think I received 2 pairs of soft and not firm? The cups work well enough for.me to buy the black solid ones. The long floppy ones I don't know what to do with those. I am so busy I can't be botherd with a return? This condition is fairly new for me. The doctor said it's from repetuve motion and tightness, for me the cups are great. Thank you to the makers and Rufus, I don't trust you now. Update - This Morning I was able to resume all physical activities. However, I am switching it up a bit. My PF isn't irritating me while wearing the cups and I can barely feel it when I have them off.. I am still stretching and strengthening. They are working!

Useless.
Useless. May as well put a layer of Kleenex at the bottom of my shoe. And what’s worse? Can’t return them. Expensive and completely unsupportive.

life savers! IMO.
I had been suffering really badly with Plantar Faciitis for about a year. It was awful, really painful and debillitating. I had spent a small fortune on various inner soles and heel supports etc, but nothing did any good. I came across these brilliant inserts whilst scrolling through Amazon, read the reviews and decided to give them a go. I was so glad I did as the relief was instant and I could actually walk without being in absolute agony. It's about six months or a bit more and my heels are so much better. I can get up off the sofa to walk into the kitchen like a normal person, not someone who as soon as they stood up, could only hobble. I wear them every day and my heels/feet are almost back to normal. They support my arches , the fit is excellent and my husband, who also suffers, but not to the same degree, has also bought a pair. I'm not saying they cured me, but it feels that way. Out of everything I tried, these did the trick. I would highly recommend.
