I was afraid this bag might be made of really weak material, but I don't think that's the case. I bought it for my daughter as a gift. She's a young adult with a very unique style, but we live in an area where you have to bring or buy your own reusable shopping bags. I was looking for something that she could roll up and stick in her smaller purse or that she could decorate if she wanted. I ended up buying several bags for her to choose from. I expected her to return at least one out of the three (thinking this would be the one she returned), but she wanted to keep all of them. This was the smallest, "weakest" bag; but she said she liked the smaller size and thinner material. The other bags were way larger, thicker, and had a zipper closure. But she found them harder to carry when she just wanted to go out for casual reasons. She said the other bags were more useful for situations when she knew she had a loaded schedule, would be doing a significant amount of shopping, or had a ton of stuff (or very heavy or important stuff) she needed to carry around to multiple locations.*My daughter doesn't drive. She does a lot of walking in between taking public transportation or Ubers. So, having the right type of bag is important for her. Some stores don't allow people to bring in backpacks of any size or extra large bags, which is unfortunate since she works and has college classes on some of the same days.My daughter chose to leave the bag as it is for the last 2.5 months since she received it. (Meaning, she chose not to dye or paint it.) She has worn it as a plain, medium size "purse" at least 8 times now. And she has packed it in her normal purses in case she decided to go shopping after work/school. I finally got to hand wash it for her. I was waiting on most of these factors before feeling I could write an honest review.My daughter mostly carries a few heavy books, art mediums, a loaded makeup bag, keys with a ton of keychains, a small wallet, pepper spray, and a 32 oz stainless steel water bottle in this bag. The bag is not very large... it's unable to fit a 14" laptop without a good amount of it sticking out the top and not being able to close. But it does hold a lot of weight considering how thin the material feels. (I think the polyester content probably helps make the fabric sturdier.)The stitching is well done and neat overall (including where the single strap attaches to the bag). The threading is the same color as the bag, so nothing stands out. It has a neat, clean appearance. The fabric is a true white with the slightest sheen to it. It doesn't have much sheen, but it's not as matte looking as 100% cotton canvas. (I think this is kind of nice because it doesn't have a worn in look to it. My other canvas bags tend to look dusty or faded where ever they crease... even when they're brand new and/or clean.) The fabric does not stretch or have any give to it. It is pretty drapey compared to thicker 100% canvas cloth. There's no structure, so if you load odd shaped items into the bag, it will be shaped accordingly.The bag closes with a single magnetic button, so stuff can fall out if you don't set it down properly or hang it. I bought the white bag so my daughter could dye it or paint on it if she wanted. She hasn't tried this yet. (The material seems to be evenly made thru out and doesn't have any burs or defects, so I think it would dye well. I'm just curious if the thread will take the dye. I can't tell what material the thread is made of. It looks as though the bag would be good for screen prints and basic iron on prints/patches.) It's woven tight enough and the fabric is thick enough that you can't see colorful items thru the white color, even though it's not lined.I think this bag would work for light or small shopping trips. It's not what I would consider heavy duty. It's barely medium duty (IMO), but my daughter trusts it. It's definitely NOT a flimsy lightweight bag, though. (It's hard for me to definitively say it's medium weight because I'm not used to polyester being blended into canvas bags. It feels lighter than medium weight, but carries items like a medium weight 100% cotton canvas bag.) My daughter is also more careful about her purses and bags than I am. I tend to overload things a lot of times.I would buy this item again. I wish it had a zipper to close the opening, but I can always add that myself. I paid around $12 for the bag, so hand sewing a zipper on it doesn't seem like an unreasonable hassle for me. I think I paid a good price for what I got.I'm considering buying a bag for myself. I don't usually dress up enough to look right carrying normal purses around. I dress rather plain and sometimes rugged (mostly jeans, boots, plain shirt, and a slightly oversized mens flannel). This bag would be a nice size for everyday wear and wouldn't stand out from my boring outfits. It would make a nice understated bag for more simple and cuter outfits, too. It's small enough not to draw a lot of attention or look like a shopping bag. But it's large enough to carry a decent amount of items. I could definitely fit a small makeup bag, my phone (6.5"x3.5" with a bulky cover that doubles as a card holder), my 5"x7" notebook, keys, my multitool, and 24 oz stainless steel water bottle... and still have ample space for a few other items without it looking packed to the max. The strap is a nice size for carrying. The bag doesn't hover right under the armpit or hang too low. My daughter likes it. I've carried it for her a few times, and it was comfortable.Oh, I also hand washed it with an unscented, gentle laundry detergent in luke warm water. (Not because I felt the bag was fragile, but because that's what we had on hand.) Dirt stains washed off easily. I didn't have to use the laundry brush. I let it air dry, but it started to look a bit wrinkled. So, I flattened it out when it was mostly dry. My daughter used it once as a purse after cleaning, and it looked as it normally does. I think we'll just throw it in the washing machine next time and let it air dry instead of using the dryer.I give it 5 stars for its looks, durability, functionality, and price. I probably wouldn't pay more than $15 for this bag unless it had a sturdy zipper closure. It's just a simple, plain bag... and it's not as strong as other larger bags that I've paid a tad bit more for. So, I can't justify paying any more than that for it.

I bought this bag to take to Italy and used it everyday. It’s big enough to put an extra pair of shoes or a jacket while holding all of my necessities. It’s very comfortable on the shoulder and very well made. The color I purchase is beige and It went well with all of my outfits.

Pros: super durable, huge internal compartment that I love, magnet locking mechanism on topCons: it’s kind of awkwardly large, doesn’t sit/stand upright on its own, and there’s only one strap (I think i’d prefer two)Overall: it’s exactly as pictured and great for holding a lot of stuff, seems super well made, but for me personally, I think the design is a little awkward but practical (and affordable) for what I need it to do- I use it as a book bag of sorts for school.

Well made, very sturdy - I use it to carry my laptop. And the bag has a snap closure! Happy face.

Work bag or purse! Very thick canvas. Inside pocket. Good quality. Easy to clean. Holds a lot. I use it for two water bottles, a big lunchbag and a few other small items for work. Bought two so far, will be back for the pink!

the bag was a lot bigger than i expected. originally i was hoping for a small little - everyday tote but this bag ended up being a-lot wider than i anticipated. the sizing of the bag was displayed in the details of the product but i failed to check it lol. it does seem to be made of pretty strong material and looks like it’d work great for a beach day or something of that sort. however, if you’re looking for a small bag for everyday use, i recommend looking for something else.

I bought this to carry my work laptop and it's perfect. Lightweight, washable, and has a pocket inside for a little extra organization. All in all a cute bag
