This hat has fantastic coverage! The brim is nice and big and blocks the sun without impacting her vision. I love that it runs straight into the neck flap so there's no gap near her ears. And the flap is a great size, going down to her shirt and covering around the sides. We live in the South and the sun is no joke, and this lets her go out without me worrying! Oh, and the adjustment is great on the back. I will say, it's smaller than I was anticipating. At 3.5 years, slightly larger than average head, I only adjust the strap to it'll stay on while she rides her scooter - it fits about right without tightening. We'll be looking for another hat in probably a year or two, but in the meantime, love this one! Plus it is very comfortable and lightweight. I wear it golfing, hiking, at the beach, etc. At first I wanted to buy a light colored one that wasn't white but the choices were limited (other than the pastels for little girls), so chose the light grey one - it is fine.
