Snugpak | Jungle Blanket | Insulated camping or emergancy blanket for just in case (Black, XL)

Packs down incredibly small.. but surprisingly effective at keeping the heat in..Propper test at the weekend 15/16/17 Mar so will update after.

I can't comment on water resistance as that situation hasn't come up but I'm loving it. I went for the xl version and I'm glad I did as I found that I can use it on a double bed to provide an extra layer if needed.In terms of performance I was impressed, I found that even though the inside surface of the blanket could feel cold in places when the temperature dropped the air inside felt warm. I also found that if I the temperature started to get a little warm (i.e. when the sun came up and started heating things up) somehow the blanket let the excess heat out without me having to uncover myself.I don't know if that is down to the insulation but the blanket seems to do this better than the jungle bag (which I also have and have used for a few years), it could be due to being larger and less fitted that the air pocket between me and the blanket has more ability to adjust the temperature to my preference. I tend to sleep hot so others may feel that the blanket doesn't keep them hot enough, but it's fine for me.In terms of packability I found that in the same way as the jungle bag it can be compressed down pretty small with the included compression bag (about the size of a small gala melon) and not particularly heavy (I haven't weighed it).I haven't actually tried it yet but I am intending on seeing if I can use this as a hammock under-quilt along with my jungle bag as I think this could work quite well for the occasional colder nights (just as a diy project, a proper under-quilt that is specifically designed for the job would be better for long term use).

The XL one is pretty massive but still easily fits into a small/medium 20 litre backpack in its compression bag with lots of space free for other things. Only tested in 14 degrees and didn't even have to double it for extra warmth. I did try and far too hot. Definitely my new go to for outdoorsy stuff until temps go into minus so I can carry more beer with my pack. Great quality product and everything stated in the notes are true. 10/10.Oh, I did see reviews before buying. It's tight to get into the compression pack but once you start, ahem, thumbing it in, its not a problem, all fits as it should and can still be compressed even smaller if need be.

So, I ordered this item as I wanted something lightweight to supplement some fleece/sherpa blankets kept in the car that could also be used on the ground or if there was a chill wind to wrap up in.I wasn't expecting a huge amount of warmth from this despite it being advertised as having insulation and the reviews for it. Then I opened up the package and I wasn't impressed, a very large blanket admittedly but there was no way it was going to be warm considering how light it was. Sat on the sofa one night and had the blanket over my legs , wasn't particularly warm, especially compared to the sherpa blanket I tried the day before.Anyway, I decided to try it on the sofa one night , wore a tee shirt, had the heating switched off, temperature was freezing outside and wrapped up in this snugpak blanket xl. Woke up at 4am, prepared to be cold...nope, surprisingly warm. Hmm. Went back to sleep, woke at 8am, still warm. Okay. Maybe it was a fluke . Did the same the next evening. Same result , it was around 9 or 10 degrees in the lounge both nights and I was surprisingly warm.After all this waffle - the blanket is unexpectedly warm , I'll be buying another one for the back of the car for emergencies with the fleece/sherpa blankets.Recommended.

This is a great, compact blanket that I bought to enhance my sleeping bags thermal properties during winter and to use as my primary blanket during spring and summer. It's a very light blanket that is a really nice compact size which was a key requirement for me. The blanket itself is comfortable and impressively warm. I used it as my sole sleeping blanket at around 5 degrees c and it kept me toasty.The only reason I haven't given this 5 stars is because the stuff sack broke immediately with only moderate tightening. The plastic buckles on the stuff sack are incredibly weak. Fortunately this blanket is still small without compressing it further inside the stuff sack.

I've wanted a blanket for the outdoors, and went for this blanket due to the features and specifications, I'm very pleased and impressed and has been used in -6 conditions around a campfire to being used as a den with my 2 year old daughter, to my daughters Mum using it as a blanket on the sofa. I've not yet given it a wash, but it doesn't smell of smoke or any bad smells from a continious lot of uses, which was expected by the advertising feature sets. I'd highly recommend, its generally not made for colder seasons, and is aimed for more during the summer, so make sure you wrap up warm and have the correct gear and use the blanket as a extra layer of protection. The pack size of the product is reasonable and easy to carry with your gear I'd say, I've had no issues.

Brought this for a friends Xmas present and they love it. They are tall and often struggle to find kit that works for them. I was super impressed with how warm and light it is, so much I’ve brought myself one in a different colour. I feel this will be a really handy piece of kit not only when camping but in the van and at home too

Need a blanket that doesn't take up loads of space but still keeps you warm? Then this is for you! The XL blanket is plenty big enough to throw over a double sleeping bag, but packs away in a size smaller than a pillow, and still adds a nice level of extra warmth. We will not go camping without it.

Für meine Outdoor Aktivitäten gekauft .Nutze sie zur Zeit Indoor.Kleines Packmaß , leichte große Decke .Einzig störend ,sie knistert. Könnte für den ein oder anderen ein Ausschlusskriterium sein, mich stört es nicht so groß .Versand hat 9 Tage gedauert, Marketplace Bestellung mit Versand aus Frankreich. Kommunikation mit de.Verkäufer sehr gut ,sofort geantwortet und alles zu meiner Zufriedenheit beantwortet .Die Decke stinkt nicht nach Chemie, das war bei meinem Snugpack Nautilus Schlafsack anders ,der stinkt immer noch ,trotz 2 Wochen Auslüften..Die Decke ist Dünn , aber sie wärmt echt gut .Nutze sie zur Zeit auf meiner Couch. Das beste daran ,das sich keine Hundehaare festhaken, wie bei Baumwolldecken etc.Tägliches Ausschütteln entfällt hier. Top .Auch kann man die äußere Oberfläche feucht abwischen . Top.Ich bin sehr happy mit der Decke und werde sie dann draußen I.V.m. meinem Snugpack Schlafsack zusammen nutzen, falls es doch mal kälter wird.Ich denke das ist eine gute Kombi.Von mir klare Kaufempfehlung, und ich hab die Decke für 28 Euro hier geschossen .

Ich habe bereits eine ausführliche Rezension über die Olive Version der Decke geschrieben warum diese meiner Meinung nach die beste Decke überhaupt ist, auch für zuhause. Wer mag kann die Details aus der anderen Rezension lesen, ich habe Sie mir jetzt nochmal in schwarz geholt weil so ne super Decke kann man nicht oft genug haben

Der Snugpak Poncho Liner ist ein wirklich super Produkt. Er hält warm, hat ein schönes Packmaß und ist sehr leicht. Ein absolut treuer Begleiter auf Camping, Festival und Survival Touren. Auch für den Notfallrucksack sehr zu empfehlen!!! Ich will ihn nicht mehr missen.... Danke Snugpak für dieses schöne Produkt👍🏽
