Coiled Spring Heavyweight Stainless Steel Utility Tong, 16-Inch

Just what I was looking for they’re very sturdy and long enough to serve food without falling down in serving pans

Bought this for moving firewood around and its great. No issues with the heat, but must wear a decent leather work glove while using

If you want to do some work at a distance, these tongs are for you. Let's say you have hotdogs cooking over charcoal and you are afraid you might singe the hair on your arm reaching with some regular length tongs...well then these are for you! Or maybe you have some undesirable things in your yard to pick up but bending over those last 16 inches is beyond your capabilities...well then these tongs may be your solution. Easy to use and likely easy to sanitize.

First, they are not stainless because a magnet does want to stick, but does not quite make it, but it does pull towards these. So perhaps some sort of cheap pot metal. There is also no lock mechanism of any kind. They are quite light weight for their size. That being said, I love them and hope they don’t break on me. They do an excellent job at holding medium sized thick steaks (I have not tried large ones yet.) I love how balanced these feel and light weight when picking up the food, but also sturdy. I like how far away from the stove my hand is as well. Now, that being said, it does a great job at picking up small things like pieces of okra as well when you have to flip them, however, at that point it doesn’t feel so great on your wrist, In fact, if your wrists cramp, that will probably happen. The lack of locking mechanism does not bother me as they do not open up extra wide, but I can see how it might some. I would put a rubber band or something on the end if that’s an issue. I provably wouldn’t put these in the dishwasher; maybe I will one time to see what happens, but I fear they will start developing rust and/or that white crust. We’ll see. I will update.

Perfect tongs. Commercial durability. Nice feel. Not sure why it asks me to rate the lock feature. It does not lock, but it does not spring open and try to jump out of your hands either. They dont open extremely wide, but its not necessary with the length of the tongs.

Using these as charcoal tongs and they are perfect for that purpose. I used 2 zip ties to create a hanging loop and a loop to hold them closed when not in use. Would be great if they came with these but understand that they're made to a price point.

Garbage! Bought 2 and one the spring is broken before even opening the package. The other the spring only has 1 tang on it so neither spring back open. Save your money and buy wuality, not this junk!

I ordered them for my husband

Excelente

Muy buenas se ve de inmediato un grosor mayor en esta versión heavy.

Mantém sua mãos há uma boa distância do calor.

Son de buen material

Muito boa, mas é gigantesca. Só serve pra churrasco. No dia a dia fica grande demais.
