Awesome CPU but...
This is a fantastic cpu and runs games etc well... BUT, it is not supported by Windows 11. So proceed with caution. It's only a good purchase for a Linux system or up to Windows 10. I just did the PC health check for Windows 11 having bought this chip back in 2017. It lacks TPM onboard which is apparently vital for Windows 11 to run. So I've moved my machine to Ubuntu OS and installed my Steam library there. I have so far tested Stellar Blade and Robocop Rogue City. Both work great with this chip and an old GTX 1060 GPU.

Definitely recommend for overall office use and minimum game play
I had bought this for my dell computer, which uses a completely different chipset lol not the seller's fault; I should have done my research to know I needed something else. I was able to give it to my friend who does online gaming and so far it works really well for his game plays. He uses a water cooling system so the heat levels very low, and power consumption seems very normal in my opinion. We have not had any issues playing games like warzone or forza. Occasionally he does use this for small office task which does fair better than his game play.
