RKSU-1U 1U Universal 19 Inches Rack Shelf, Metal, Black

I bought this shelf for my 19-inch home network rack, where it's used to hold things like Raspberry Pis, smart home hubs and other small network devices that aren't designed to be rack mounted. It's exactly what I was looking for. The shelf is sturdy, fits perfectly in a standard rack and provides a neat way of organising equipment that would otherwise just be balanced on top of other devices. The ventilation slots are a nice feature too. They allow plenty of airflow around the equipment, which is particularly useful for Raspberry Pis and smart home hubs that are left running 24/7. Installation was straightforward using standard rack hardware, and once fitted the shelf feels solid with very little flex. The black finish also blends in nicely with the rest of my rack, giving everything a much tidier and more professional appearance. If you're building a home lab, organising a network cabinet or looking for somewhere to mount small devices that don't have rack ears, this is an excellent solution. Well made, sturdy and excellent value for money.

Pretty much as you'd expect. Strong steel plate. Well formed and holes/slits are a welcome addition for mounting. Powder coating leaves a nice finish and for less than £13 posted - can't really go wrong!

Title says it all.. Pretty decent once installed and bent into shape to get it straight in the rack.. But flimsy and a bit out of shape when both of my shelves were delivered. We'll packed so seems to be a bit mishaped from production (not bent in transit).

easy to use, literally use provied screws and fix to cabinet rails in desired location. good and strong. great value for money. screws were provided and in fact i actually got a few extra in the provided bag of screws.

Was a bit worried reading the reviews that this item had been delivered with the mounts bent. I received mine and it was perfect with no bends or scratches. Its excellent quality and is solid when fixed to the rack mount. This is slightly shorted than the one I replaced which is exactly what I was looking for to improve airflow around my cabinet.

Quality was fine with no bending as reported by others. It does not extend vertically beyond its 1U space, so that's good. There are a variety of slots and holes in the base you can use to anchor things to it. Good price for what it is!

As per other comments and feedback, I ordered 2 of these and both of them were slightly bent on the frames that you’d attach to your cabinet. Was relatively easy to bend it back to a suitable position using a sock and pliers. Knocked off 2 stars for the consistent damage (I ordered 2, both damaged... this is not coincidental given the other reviews). Still, that being said, if I needed more I would but again given the price.

Works exactly like advertised. Precise fit for 19" rails.

This shelf mounts in a 1 U space in a 19" standard rack, and can carry the weight of normal 1 U equipment (albeit not servers or other unusually heavy items). The shelf is equipped with numerous holes for different types of equipment, but of course there can always be pieces of equipment that do not fit any of the provided hole sets. In this case, it is not too difficult to add the necessary holes with a small drill press. This shelf does not have folded edges either at its front or rear, so the amount of weight it can carry is limited, but at the same time this means that the 1.7 mm thick metal is thin enough to fit between two adjacent rack-mounted pieces of equipment without wasting a 1 U slot just because of the shelf thickness. The shelf is 24.2 cm deep and can contain moderately deep pieces of equipment up to 44 cm wide.
