This is because ostrich oil contains a high percentage of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids, which are not as good at creating lather as saturated fatty acids. Regular soaps are typically made with oils that are high in saturated fatty acids, such as coconut oil and palm oil. These oils create a lot of lather when combined with water, which is why regular soaps are so good at cleaning. Ostrich oil soap, on the other hand, is made with a blend of oils that are high in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids.
