Fuzzy lens, but some value
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. *Note: At the current price of 30 bucks, this is a 4-star product, however if the price goes back up over 40 I would consider lowering the rating by 1 star*What I Like:-Real 12 Megapixel sensor-Good colour processing-NT96660 Processor-Decent waterproof case-Includes accessories-Bright lights to indicate recording on front of camera-Wi-fi worksWhat I Don't Like:-Terrible quality lens is hazy-Image stabilization doesn't really work-Does not do real 4K-Doesn't pick up much soundConclusion: Whatever you do, do not install the firmware update from Lightdow. It screws up the 1080p60 mode so that it only films 30 FPS and duplicated frames. In its default firmware the image stabilization doesn't seem to work. I tested it in several formats but it would just disable stabilization automatically. I asked for an update and now stabilization works but the 60 FPS modes do not. This camera is a decent value because of its price of 30 USD. Were it more expensive, over 40, I would recommend other options (SooCoo C30, Dazzne P2+, etc) but at its current price it's a steal especially for noncritical situations, like for a camera for a kid, or for a situation where you risk damaging the camera and losing a lot of money. There's several places where quality was cut, and in particular I noticed that the lens is very hazy. There's always a cast to everything that suggests the lens isn't perfectly clear, especially while looking into direct light. It gives everything a bit of a halo and a bit of chromatic aberrations (colour fringes around objects). Aside from that, the video quality isn't bad, as the colours are accurate the exposure holds well. Aside from that other things I noted are:-The waterproof case is decent but doesn't have that extra latch mechanism-The included accessories are typical of a cheap cam-This camera DOES NOT do real 4K. It is a cropped format 2880x2160 @ 24FPS. Does not look good.-Expect to be filming at 1440p or 1080p. 1080p60 is the best format.-The camera doesn't pick up much sound.-The buttons and body feel surprisingly good-I'm a fan of the big bright lights that indicate recordingLike I said, it's cheap and to an extent you get what you pay for, but honestly if you know how to modify these cameras, just replace the lens and do external audio recording you'll be left with a decent piece of kit.-Dreki

Don't feel like cheap plastic
Update 4: Camera USB port was loseAnd failed and snapped off as predicted in my review.Beware of this if you buy this camera..make sure the ports are not lose. If so return it. Attaching a picture of the broken piece that broke off because it was poorly manufactured. So far the texture of this camera, don't feel like cheap plastic. It has what seems to be a rubber coating all over which helps for holding the camera. It has a rubberized feel to it which is awesome. The boot-up/startup time when powering on camera is impressive it does so in (one second) Not all actions cameras can do this. I'll update my review for this camera after I test it out.UPDATE V2Charging port on this camera (micro USB port) is lose, it wobbles when plunging in any USB charging cable, it will more than likely break. It appears lose, I inspected it under my magnified jewelers eye piece. I have been assured that in the event it becomes dislodged or breaks it's covered under warranty. The waterproof housing included with the camera is inferior quality it broke first time I removed it from camera. Luckily for me I test housings before taking them to water-sports to not risk damage to camera. This is not a typical waterproof housing, I hope they include a better quality case in the future. They have since issued me a better alternative case.Soon I'll review this camera further..to give my final thoughts and post example footage.UPDATE V3:I 'm really supersized how much quality this camera can produce for such an inexpressive price. I'm please with the camera. Since the lens is wide angle, you will get "Barrel Distortion" but this is typical for "any" wide angle camera. The best image quality with a lens like this is in the center. So anything you want to video or photograph should be framed in the center. It does have other filed of view settings, narrow, medium, wide. For the price of one Gopro you can buy 13 of these camera. Plenty of spares ! You can also afford to set up a rig with many cameras recording and edit them together. Possibilities are endless because of the affordability of this camera. I give it 4 stars because my mines came new out of the box with a lose port. I've decided to use external chargers and not touch the port. Here are some sample pictures of the cameras capability. Will not post video, because quality will be scarified when uploading videos, often gets compressed in the processes when uploading to some web sites. However the videos and pictures look fantastic right off the cameras memory card in a live setting "raw" as is.
