SinLoon 2.5" IDE 44-Pin Female to SATA Male Adapter works great
I purchased the SinLoon 2.5" IDE 44-Pin Female to SATA Male Adapter to connect four old laptop computer hard drives to a SATA port on my Desktop (Windows 11) computer. It worked great - I was able to take a look at three of the HDDs and copy a number of folders to my Desktop. The forth HDD was damaged and wouldn't spin up. The SinLoon product worked great.

Can't be used in my StarTech docking station.
Had to return the items. The SATA connector is offset the opposite way it needs to be to fit into my StarTech docking station.

Works as advertised
The adapter board works by itself on SSDs. When connecting to a mechanical drive, unplug the data cable from the drive and leave the drives power connector from the computer power supply connected. Laptop USB C ports will not provide enough power to spin up the drive so, you need to use the computer's power supply to power up the drive. The adapter board worked out of the box with no issues.

I was glad to find this product. It matches up both with the 2.5" laptop IDE drives and the SATA connector is just right. It's a good fit and has good throughput

It's what I needed... but... the wrong one. My fault. I needed IDE male to sata. I will still keep this in my collection. I'm sure I have a use for it!
