The SOP Sling features 1.5" wide webbing to better distribute the weight of the weapon making it the sling of choice for heavier weapons. Flexible 1" attachment straps at each end of the sling allow the SOP Sling to move efficiently with the weapon and allow the weapon to hang in a more natural orientation. The SOP Sling is fully modular and can be easily set up for right or left handed users. The Transition Release Buckle (TRB) allows the sling to be quickly and quietly extended to create slack that allows easy cross shoulder transitions. This feature addresses a common complaint associated with conventional 3 point tactical sling designs. With those types of slings it's difficult, if not impossible in some cases, to execute a cross shoulder transition. With the SOP Sling, when the need to cross shoulder transition is anticipated, simply flip the TRB release and the 3rd point of the sling is quietly released to slide freely along the sling allowing you to extend and shoulder on the opposite side. The sling, however, is still fully functional allowing you to "let it hang" should a secondary weapon transition be called for. When the time comes to re-lock the TRB, it can done so easily with just one hand needed, allowing the shooter to maintain a constant firing grip on the weapon.
