It’s a part and it worked! Yay!

Perfect fit. After 100,000 miles my new hobby is chasing down oil and coolant leaks on this car. This part was not to tough to install and solved 1 problem. Tip 1) cut the old existing tubing near where it inserts into the thermostat housing. It will be brittle. If it is leaking from the housing it is probably cracked where you can't see it. Gently try wiggling it out. When/if you get it out compare the old end to the new end to make sure the entire part came out. If half of it broke off inside the housing screw a sheet metal screw into it and pull it out. If that doesn't work use a dental type pick and an awl to get the piece out. If it breaks up wet vac the pieces out. They'll come out along with a little coolant.

o ring on male part was way too big, and wasn’t quite the same shape as my old pipe so it didn’t fit in all the clips. we’ll see if it holds up but was straightforward otherwise to install.

Works well for 2013 Chevy sonic 1.8 liter. Pretty simple part that does what it should.

Where this line connects to the thermostat housing, that connector is made for the gen 2 thermostat housing. In 2013 they changed the port where this line connects to the housing. It still lines up and all, but no matter how hard you push down this line will not click onto the older gen 1 style port head which was higher. You either have to buy a new thermostat housing, because they are all gen 2 now, or you have to grind about 1/8" off the top of the port on the gen 1 housing to get it to click onto it. Price is great though, especially for an OEM part.
