I'm frustrated by vehicles that don't come with at LEAST a locking fuel door or locking cap. I know they aren't much protection but I couldnt believe that a full sized SUV didn't come with either. Like many I went through 2 other caps that threw a check light. Luckily I kept my OEM cap. I've had THIS one since 2015. I've LIVED in (not visited) crazy hot places and snow covered mountain places since 2015 and zero problems. Now, it's May of 2022, the cap stopped locking(i.e. doesn't free spin when locked) so now it's like a regular cap but still doesn't throw check light. For the price i'd say I got my money's worth. I Just ordered another one. Hopefully they are still making a quality product 7 years down the road from my 1st cap. Cap is for 2010 Toyota Sequoia 5.7L. I'm not POSITIVE but I've owned 3 Sequoias since 2004 (only replaced because ...who doesnt love new car smell? Lol). I have always done my own maintenance and I find that MOST.of the time sequoias use the same parts as similar year Toyota Tundras (makes sense from manufacturing standpoint. ). Sequoias 4x4 5.7L are SEEM like they took a Tundra 4x4 5.7L and added rear seats instead of a bed and a ton of soccer mom amenities lol. I'm talking PARTS wise not capability so don't flame me for trying to be helpful 😆 (though I've taken full loads of paragliding friends and equipment to steep and remote sites without roads many times and done other things that that are normally Tundra territory. It's no Tundra but it works for me. If I could afford it I'd have both. Also I've found that the Amazon "this fits/doesnt fit your car" filter isn't always right. It's good...but needs to be improved. I generally try to cross check part numbers with other sites before buying. I don't write many reviews, too many negative experiences for just trying to help. So hopefully this will help someone. (Dunno why I have to rate "mileage" a gas cap but gave it 5 just in case🙂)

Purchased this gas cap for a 2023 Toyota Camry, Cap fitted but it also caused a trip to the dealership bc new Toyotas do not allow after market modifications. Definitely could’ve cause engine problems down the line due to air was leaking through fuel cap bc of a 1/2in gap and no seal. Otherwise Cap would have worked out perfectly if had been any other car.

So far so good. Used it for over a week now and it is fairly sturdy. I’ve filled up several times and have no issues locking/unlocking like some people seem to have had. Not bad at all.

2023 Tacoma trd sport. No issues with this product. Fits great works great but after about 3 to 4 hours trucks check engine light turns on. All I have to do is reset battery. Will leave in truck if I need to use it but I cannot Use it full-time.

I ordered this about 3-4 months ago. It's to replace one that's about 10 years old. First thing, lubricate your new gas cap! Try to remember to do this once a year. Nothing as hair raising as a stuck gas cap at the fill up. If you do get stuck, you might want to store some lubricants in your car. Graphite powder is the most storage friendly. If still stuck then you need to drill out the cap. AAA or a mechanic or an auto parts store might have a drill handy. The seals on locking gas caps are never as good as original equipment. Keep your old gas cap. I've had to swap back to the original to pass inspection while I fiddled with the locking cap trying to improve the seal. Oh yeah, most thieves see a lock and move on. But a drug addict in the throes of withdrawal will try to rip out the lock. This is the biggest reason why the seal on a locking gas cap will fail suddenly. Talk to your mechanic about a reinforced collar for your gas tank. It's a pricey little item but nothing compared to replacing the gas tank. And unlike a locking gas cap, it should be a one time expense. The collar of my tank still isn't quite straight.

Awful , didn’t fit at all and caused issues and then was promised a return and got ZERO!!! Correspondence dropped after they got my vehicle info. Super shadey and wrong what they did.
