Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  The placemat seem thick and sturdy，the most satisfying part is that it is washable and easy to care, just rinse it into water if it gets dirty. Absolutely great for a family with children. I like the color also, it is elegant and versatile enough can be used for formal dinner as well as daily meals, a really good decor to my dinning room. I even cut one piece to use as coasters, no raveling as described. Love it although it is not totally waterproof.

now i have to look for anti slip place mats or something similar these do slip, i am trying to be more independent for myself. i have ms and i cannot cut my food because the plate moves thankful to my husband for helping me. here we go again! these say anti slip, the dish slips as well as the mat on table if you are looking that is anti slip run away from this

We have a wood table at home that has had some issues with heat marks lately. Sometimes we go the easy and fast route and use paper plates and we know that is the main reasoning for the heat marks. I was hoping that getting these "heat resistant" mats would work since I had seen some positive reviews. But unfortunately they didn't work. Now instead of a plain flat heat mark there is a heat mark with the pattern of this mat. We will most likely still keep them as they are good for the kids messes and what not and I'm still giving 3 stars because overall they are OK. But they didn't end up working what I wanted them to work for. They do work well when we use normal plates, but no heat marks are left after we use those without the mats, so I'm sure they still don't offer much (if any) heat resistance.

Red sauce will stain it after seconds. I immediately washed and it will not come out. The material is heat resistant, but moisture from that heat gets trapped under the mat against your table. Heat from a coffee mug for example. The purpose of these is to protect your table from minor scratches. Any moisture dropped on or created from hot items will be trapped and probably ruin wood. Maybe this is good for glass tables? I would not recommend.

These are really pretty, and I'll use them occasionally. Cleaning the placemats is easy in theory (except for one stubborn tomato sauce stain). I've wiped them, run them under water, and thrown them in a sink to soak. BUT the weave is fairly open so small crumbs and any liquids (sauce, soup, melted ice cream, etc) go right through these onto the table, so you have to wipe that off the table, which defeats the purpose of the placemat. This also means that anything that gets through will be on both sides of the placemat, so you need to remember to clean both sides. I'll continue using these for special occasions but will be using solid placemats for everyday use. They're heat resistant to a cup of coffee and a plate out of the microwave, but I wouldn't set a hot pan on them.

Just received these placemats in gray and I’m very happy with them. They look great and for $9 you really can’t complain. I can’t speak for their heat resistance as I haven’t placed anything hot on them yet. The material is more of a stiff mesh as opposed to fabric so they seem like they’ll clean very easily. Overall good buy for the money.

It is really easy to clean, as promised. I feel like the weave is narrow enough that crumbs won't fall through - my kid even plays playdough on the mat and the playdough doesn't get stuck.I also haven't and wouldn't put anything hot on this unless you want the plastic to melt right off.It does feel/look a little cheap, but then again I can really only get the "luxe" feel with linen placemats that are so high maintenance, or bamboo if that's your aesthetic.You get what you bargain for: easy care + cheaper looking / high maintenance + better looking.

I bought these plastic placemats to place over my pretty cloth ones in an effort to protect the cloth ones as much as possible. My family always spills something, and I was tired of washing the cloth ones every day. These are so convenient, you just wipe them clean. Plus they are very tolerant of hot plates. They were delivered quickly in perfect condition. I recommend this product and seller!
