Just like the previous artbook, it's filled with plenty of beautiful concept art of characters, environments and props, complete with commentary that talks about the design process. There are major spoilers in the book so do not go through the book before finishing the game. The artworks are very detailed and printed huge. They mostly digitally painted, like any other game artbooks, but is able to retain the painterly look for many of the scenes paintings. There aren't much game screenshots. As the art director Brenoch Adams said, he wants to put the 'Tomb' back in Tomb Raider. If that's so, it's a job well done in terms of the look and feel. I like Lara Croft's updated look and the several outfit changes throughout the game. Other character designs are alright, but nothing too out of the world, after all it's still based on the so called real world. The more interesting designs are the Deathless Ones. I can't help but compare it to the Uncharted series. The content definitely feels like there are some similarities to Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, one of my favourite games all time. There are the ice mountains and mysterious caverns. However, the art direction for Tomb Raider is visually darker. The colours are muted and there's use of a lot of darks and shadows. The good thing is not all details are lost into the shadows. Overall, it's just a different feel to Uncharted although you know that both are adventure exploratory games in the same genre. The first artbook for the reboot Tomb Raider series, Tomb Raider: The Art of Survival , brings a welcome update to the art direction. That is a great book and at the time I'm writing this, that book is already out of print and selling at higher than normal prices. So yes, the game is popular and the artbook as well. If you want to get this book, get it early. Recommended to fans of the game, artbook and concept art lovers. By the way, if you like this book, be sure to check out The Art of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves . (See more pictures of the book on my blog. Just visit my desertcart profile for the link.) Review: Amazing Artbook for any Tomb Raider fan. - This artbook feels and looks good. 192 pages filled with beautifully printed art. I like the dust jaket a lot but not so much the cover as it felt a bit cheep. The content of the book is awesome and I liked every section of it. I loved the insight and commentary of the development team on most of the arts. The only down side to me was that few pictures were a bit low resolution but only a few. Other than that it is an awesome book and I highly recommend it if you enjoyed the game as much as I did. A great purchase and a great edition to my growing collection.

Iam a fan of tomb raider ever since it became a gaming icon and the newest reboot of the franchise was absolutely great and now
I haven't browsed through the whole book, just some spoiler free chapters, but I have to say it's worth the asking price, Iam a fan of tomb raider ever since it became a gaming icon and the newest reboot of the franchise was absolutely great and now we have a sequel to the reboot and I bought the artbook before I even played the game, it's mainly because Iam a PC player and it will be released in two weeks time on PC platform so Iam looking forward to play it. The artbook itself is very nice, Iam a fan of DARK Horse books personally, but Titan books as a publisher are great too, although I have to say, the quality of covers is not as good as with DARK Horse arttbooks, but the overall quality of art is very similar, Shame it's not longer, if I compare it to the artbook of the original Tomb Raider The Art Of Survival, then it's over 80 pages short, but the quality is still there. I would definitely recommend this to a fan of the series

This is an absolutely amazing art book
This is an absolutely amazing art book. Just like Tomb Raider the Art of Survival this book is very well detailed and is of high quality. It arrived in very good condition as described by the seller. I'm a huge fan of the reboot that released several years ago and I enjoyed Rise of the Tomb Raider even more. Its nice to have the art books for both games not only as companion pieces but as collector items as well.

Read this to fully appreciate the work put into the game
This book feels and looks very nice. I love art books for games I really enjoy, and this was a must-have after playing ROTR. It was a great buy. The pictures can be a little dark, so it's hard to make out some detail, but I guess that's how the book was designed to be. There also wasn't too much text, which I personally feel bogs down other art books. Some locales and other things were left out or too briefly touched upon, but it's a huge game so you can't fit everything into this book.

Excellent book. Nice to have this book in hardcover compared to the first tomb raider book. Artwork is fantastic. Quality is the same. If you have the first art of tomb raider book, u should get this to add to ur collection.

As explained in another review, with the big triple AAA games if I enjoy them I get the Art book to expand the experience and get a more detailed look at the metamorphosis of the studio's creation, this book, unlike the one they did for their first re imagining of the iconic Tomb Raider brand is a hardback, which sits nicer on a shelf I think, the older I get the more fascinated I seem to be getting with how game studios and the artists they employ use colour to make an area feel different from one another, the sound of a strong wind mixed with the dark brown of the damp, tree bark, black, white and blue all used to varying degrees of contrast to create a destination that feels desolate and cold, wherein the deserts of Syria the yellows, orange and golds used in such a way as to make the area feel comfortable and warm, good job Crystal Dynamics, keep producing interactive works of art.

I am fairly satisfied with my order and i’m not one to complain but there is some damage on page 53/54. I’m not sure how this happened considering the book arrived sealed. Everything else in perfect condition. It’s not a HUGE deal it’s just one page but i cant help but be a little bit annoyed.
