Ear & Forehead Thermometer for Adults, Kids & Baby, 1s Fast and Accurate

This thermometer is better than ones I have tried in the past. First and foremost the window display for the temperature is large and clear. No need to find reading glasses to see it. I like that the window display color will change depending on whether you have no fever, a lo or hi grade fever. It is also a plus to be able to turn off or on the beep sound. Personally, I like it. But I can see where it might be annoying to some people. Also, the instructions, while not perfect are easy to follow and do not have as manner grammatical errors that I have seen with other thermometers and technology products. While I think the ear temperature mode is better suited for a child/baby’s temperature reading, and I don’t have any young ones at this point, I still like that there are multiple ways for taking a temperature. Finally, and I am sure most people wouldn’t call this an advantage per say, but I think the fact that it comes with a cloth bag in which to store the thermometer, is an often overlooked and under utilized benefit of having this thermometer. By always storing the thermometer in its bag you can (1) keep the instructions together with the product in case they are needed in the future and (2) it ensures that the thermometer won’t get scratched and banged around if stored in a linen cabinet or nightstand drawer. Protecting the thermometer means that you will likely have something that you can count on to work whenever you need it to, including months after you get when you may need to check your temperature. I am not sick now, but I like the idea that I have a working thermometer in my house in case I, or a visitor become sick at some point in the future.

Very nice thermometer and was used quite a bit with recent flu symptoms. I like that temperature can be taken in 2 ways and the screen color indicates the different temperature ranges... normal to very high.

I really like the design and ease of use of this unit, but unfortunately never provides an accurate temp when using for body temperature. Which is the most important function we needed. It never reads above 98.x. Not even when sticking it in the ear. One night my partner felt bad with chills and had a body fever of over 101 using a digital thermometer under the toungue, due to an internal infection which ended in a trip to the ER and a 5 day hospital stay. But this device still only showed 98.x. I tried placing it in several different areas and distances from the forehead, including touching the forehead. I tried using the baby and adult settings to see if that would make a difference. The baby setting registered only slightly higher than the adult setting. So, this device does not work for body temp, but seems to be spot on for room temperature as it matches my digital wall thermostat exactly and registers liquid temps pretty close as compared to a digital thermometer. With COVID-19 and everyone depending on these touchless thermometers, beware that these may not be close to being accurate. I have asked several nurses using these and some have agreed these are not very reliable. These touchless thermometers are a great idea, but if you want accuracy, as your health may depend on it, use the digital (or old mercury) kind that you place under the tongue, armpit, or anally for best results. I paid $54.99 for this on June 24, 2020 here on Amazon and I see now it is selling for $29.99.
