If using this with Smart Things hub could I use a motion sensor to trigger the chime instead of the push button?

Hi Jeff - yes, once set up in SmartThings you can trigger the chime using any normal trigger - including a motion sensor. Btw, instead of using the device type that is automatically recognized by SmartThings, I opted to install this device type instead: https://github.com/robertvandervoort/SmartThings/tree/master/Aeon%20Doorbell - it has more functionality.

Will this work with SmartThings?

Michael, if you are willing and able to use the SmartThings IDE and a custom device type, you can get this device to work quite well with SmartThings. You can even set it to act as both a doorbell and a security siren at once. So it will play different sounds based on what the trigger was.
