I admit to being very skeptical when it comes to these kind of OTC supplements and/or medications. I had been having hip pain and discomfort for some time, progressively getting worse. Orthopedic doctor told me I would eventually need hip replacement surgery. A family member has been a sales rep for a replacement joint manufacturer for several years now and in conversation with him he recommended I give this product a try. Not sure where he got that information from but figured he should have some inside information and what the heck it's worth a try. And to my complete surprise it has actually worked. It does not work immediately, takes several weeks to really kick in but as of the time of writing this (3 or 4 weeks in) I am in less pain and able to go about my life in a more normal manner. I do not know how it works but I can assure you it does. My doctor prescribed anti inflammatory drugs which I did not take because of blood pressure issues with them in a past experience. This Cosamin DS is not a cure all, the hip problem is still there, just much, much less, and I don't know if eventually the issue will force it's way back. The thought of having hip replacement surgery was something that scared the @#$% out of me so I am very happy with this product. Long may it last.

This product really works for me. My knee was giving me a lot of pain when gardening, climbing stairs and activities that put pressure on the knee. After taking Cosamin DS for 3 X day for 3 days was able to reduce # of capsuls per day. I would certainly recommend it.

Nearly a month in, with no life changes and taking this supplement every day as recommended, I have witnessed noticeable differences in my arthritic knee, pain threshold, and ability to walk and exercise. I'm not saying it's some magic elixir, and it could be more mental than physical, but it is working for me.

THESE are high quality joint supplements that are made in the USA from globally sourced ingredients. Many years ago, I used to take run of mill cheap glucosamine pills purchased in grocery stores; no help at all. I read up about Nutramax Laboratories; glad I did. The pill size is a white caplet 5/8" long w/no coating. They go down well w/good swallows. I have good results in pain relief. Read up about what you can expect with this product and the history of the company. These used to be sold in grocery stores for years and just recently went all online. I purchase three bottles at a time, and reorder when I open the third bottle to be sure I do not run out.

I endured progressing knee bone on bone for years so if you have waited to try these they will build up knee or any joint needing such. The sooner you start the sooner you will have improvement. they are not like a advil headache pill that takes effect in minutes. They build up how quickly depends on how long you endured, for me I did 2 bottles of 230, 2 in the morning and 1 at night.by 3/4 thru the second bottle I found the bone on bone knee started to ease off and after one year I can walk over 1 mile and hills, improvement from 300 yards then bone on bone pain stopped all walking. Now 1 or 2 in the morning is good, they do rebuild cartilage, stay with it a knee takes a beating over time. Or 2 right knee surgeries I had. they are the only ones that did make my knee happy again, I do not run on my knee, 2 surgeries ended running but I do LOVE WALKING AND HILLS WHEN THERE ARE PART OF MY WOODS TRAIL WALKING. I finished the whole course and don't feel noticeably better. I work out too so maybe it does help but I'm attributing any positive health effect to my exercise regime?
