Customize your cool space
I custom built my gaming PC and it cannot get too hot or it will crash. I put a lot of money into it, and now that the weather is starting to get warm, this is going to save my investment. Gaming is my way of chilling after working outside all day (I work in construction) and wanted to experience everything I could.I found this portable unit and set it up pretty easily. It doesn’t take up much space at all and the noise doesn’t bother me. I don’t want to open the windows and let the heat or humidity in, so this is my fix and it’s working great. I have it set up on the other side of the office and when the temperature in the unit starts going up, I can quickly turn this on and it noticeably cools down the room within 5 minutes.I didn’t realize the new computer would heat up my room so fast, so this unit is putting in it’s hard earned work keeping the room cool. Having the extra unit in just this room helps keep the light bill low, too since I dont have to cool the entire house now.

A small air conditioner for a small room during limited uncomfortable nights.
This little air conditioner stands about 3 and a half feet high (read the specs on the product web page in Amazon). It moves on casters, which makes it easy to move out of the way - it's heavy for its size. Due to its BTU capacity, it's really meant for a bedroom or other small room. Initially, it generates a lot of condensation. So you have to watch it as it cools down a room!! It will fill a 1 gallon bottle in very little time. However, once it has cooled a room sufficiently, then the condensation production slows. You should keep the door to the room closed so that more humid air does not enter. Also, don't go to bed before the coolness in the room has stabilized. Otherwise, you will flood your carpet! It is somewhat low in noise generation. It comes with a window sleeve with a hole in it and an accordian style venting hose. When setting up the unit, you install the window sleeve, stretch the venting hose until it meets the window sleeve, connect the condensation drainage tube put the end of the tube in the large empty bottle for containing the condensation and away you go. I set the settings for 71 F degrees and a moderate fan speed. This little air conditioner seems to do the job. I don't need more because we live up in the mountains where we have few uncomfortably hot and humid days. I'd recommend this product to everyone who wants to cool just one little room without going through the hassle of installing a large heavy air conditioner for only a small number of uncomfortable nights.

Works great! A bit unclear on a few things.
Overall, this unit is GREAT! It blows very cold, even on the low fan setting of cooling. However, trying to set the app up was a bit confusing. You’ll need a 2.4 GHZ WiFi connection. I had to split my Xfinity modem to have both a 2.4 and a 5 GHZ. Once I split the modem up via the Xfinity app, the fan’s WiFi found the 2.4 signal and connected fairly easily. You’ll also need the SmartLife app. Another hiccup we’ve run into is, and very rarely but it does happen, but the unit will be running cooling mode and then all of a sudden it will turn off the compressor and the fan. It’s almost like it turns itself off. It’s possible that once the room reaches the cooling temp setting, it may do that. We keep ours at 60. The unit with restart itself fairly quickly, within 5-10 seconds, but it’s just strange. The instructions don’t list that as a possibility, and customer service didn’t really know why it was doing it either. Overall, this is a really great unit for the price as it cools very well for our bedroom which is around 195 square feet. We live in a very hot and humid area of the US, and this does a great job in the heat.

Failed Halfway Through the Second Summer I Used It
I would stay away from the "SereneLife" brand as not one but TWO of their portable air conditioner models only lasted two summers. This smaller unit was great the first summer I used it (2024) but halfway through the summer of 2025 is started shutting off and displaying the dreaded E3 error code for which there is no DIY resolution. Upon doing research I discovered the code was attributed to the temperature sensor not working correctly. The compressor also stopped kicking on, so it's essentially a $300 fan now that just blows room temperature air and won't remove humidity.I followed the directions and took good care of it by cleaning the filters regularly and making sure the exhaust hose was straight and that there was nothing obstructing the unit on any side. It's inexcusable for a product to fail after only using it for a total of five months in two years. I now have to bring it to a recycling event and pay additional money to have it disposed of. Ordered a different portable air conditioner from a different brand for my bedroom and keeping my fingers crossed this model is of much better quality than SereneLife.

Works great
Initial review: we got these units as supplements to our central air in Phoenix. It does a great job in cooling down our sleeping rooms where the central air just isn’t able to cool those areas very well.I made some modification when setting up the window hot air exhaust hose.- you will probably need an additional window kit. Our vertical window was too large and our smaller winders were too small for the kit that came with the units. Too bad because they seemed like good quality items.- to add stability for the exhaust plate block In the window, I cut some cardboard, rolled it up into a round long piece, wrapped it in duct tape and wedged it between the window and the plate. This keeps the exhaust plate my more sturdy in the window.- on my vertical window, to keep it from sliding open at all (unlikely to happen but still) I had some suction cups that screw onto the window and increase the suction grip as you screw. I placed three of these along the window and now they won’t open at all.- to create some more insulation at the exhaust plate, I cut a piece of cardboard to the plate and then bought some foam insulation and glued it to the cardboard. Now just place that in the window behind the exhaust plate to prevent more hot air from coming in.

Brrrrr! My home is cold! *now
I was impressed from the moment I was able to get it up the steps to my door, alone. That's on the delivery dirtbag. First off, it arrived sooner than originally originally estimated - during a lull in the heatwave, so I was able to get it set up and tested before the current heat blast began today. It was packaged very well, with all of the components, except the 2 screws required for the exhaust hose. No probs. There's always a few loose screws floating around this funny farm. I'm disabled, one of the main reasons I chose this model, for ease of moving around the house. I had to come up with something to keep the exhaust hose window plate in my window, because it is too long to be set within the window itself. So I placed a section of 2" thick Styrofoam on the window sill, then put the exhaust plate on that, but snug up against the bottom of the window. The "handle" on the bottom of the window keeps that plate in place well enough and I only had to plug tiny gap to prevent air escaping. The unit is really simple to operate, not any louder than other AC units, and most vital - my 10,000 btu AC is cooling my entire house from one central room. I hope this lasts a long time, because on my first day using it, I'm glad to give it 6/5 stars.

Cools you but not the room
I was excited to finally use this AC now that the temperature outside is over 80. The installation was annoying since you have to cut the window bracket slide to fit your window because it is very long. Once I got it to fit in the window and sealed it up. Thought I was good to go. This unit is a bit louder than I hoped and being on the floor, worried about the vibrations it was making would disturb the people below me. Now for the purpose of having an AC, to cool off the room. If you have it set up to blow directly on you, you can feel cooler, but it does NOT cool the room at all. It has been between 72-86 degrees outside so not super hot out and after having the AC temp set at 61 degrees (I need cold to sleep so need the room at max 65 degrees) and running for 13 hours straight, the temp in my room went from 76 to 72, only dropped 4 degrees. Don't see how this will keep my room cool when it gets to 90-100 outside.

The Perfect Choice for an RV
I have a 2017 Bighorn fifth wheel with two 15,000 BTU roof AC units. Living in the coach is okay until the outside temps reach 100 degrees; after that, it's no fun. Because we had to live in the coach this summer while waiting for our new Tucson home to be completed, I quickly saw the need for more AC capacity. Rather than have the dealer install a third 15,000 BTU roof AC unit (about $3,700), I decided to order this 10,000 BTU Serenelife portable unit. At only 57 pounds, it's not too heavy to get in the RV and the compact dimensions were an added plus. A friend and I rigged up a custom exhaust plate for one of the windows and that was it, installation complete. I was worried whether the amp draw would throw a circuit breaker inside the coach but it never happened. Long story short: After four months in temperatures that twice reached 117 degrees, this Serenelife portable unit performed flawlessly. I never turned it on until the outside temps hit 102 or 103. It was able to drop the inside temps from 86–87 degrees to 82 degrees every time. And believe it or not, it's relatively quiet. Be sure to watch your appliance usage with running three AC units — do not use your toaster, water heater, or microwave until later. If you are thinking about buying a portable AC for your RV or small room in your home then guys, this is definitely the one. Just my 2 cents.

Really cool for a small room, gets the job done, albeit noisily. Highly recommended.
I live in Canada, but I'm really averse to heat and can't stand indoor temperatures when it's anything higher than 24C (75F) outside. After the heat dome of last year, I swore to myself that I'd get an AC before May of this year, which was a great call because this unit arrived just in time for another heat dome of 27C - 30C (80 to 86F) a day for the upcoming week.My roommate hates AC for whatever reason, so I just wanted something that could cool a very small bedroom (roughly 150 square feet), was affordable, and wasn't a window unit. Based on other reviews, I went for this model (SLPAC105W).Absolutely gets the job done. If it's aimed anywhere in my direction, it has me shivering, so it's almost overkill for a small room. I deliberately take fully cold showers everyday to the point of being quite cold adapted, so believe me when I say that this thing produces some serious coooold. So long to the days of having to spray water on myself and aim a fan in my direction (which barely ever did anything). The cold air comes out within seconds unlike, say, a car's AC, which is a comparison I used because the lowest temperature setting on this thing is 16C (60F), which is the lowest my car's AC does.Installation was quite easy. I will point out that the window attachment was too long for my window of 32 inches, so keep that in mind. I've seen another reviewer mention cutting down the window attachment to fit, but I lack the tools to do this, so I just discarded the slide in part and duct taped some spare plastic to cover the 7 inches of opening that remained. Seemed to form enough of a seal to get the job done and I'm not too concerned with maximal efficiency here. The unit is a lot noisier than I expected, even on "low", which is sort of okay with me considering I like ambient noise and always had an air purifier and tower fan running at all times, but if loud noise bothers you, keep that in mind. My noise cancelling earbuds are strong enough to block out my air purifier and tower fan when both on together and strong enough to block out even the ambient engine noise of my car, but they're not strong enough to block out the noise of this unit. Be mindful of that if the unit is close to your bed. I suppose that's what the sleep timer is for, though I haven't tried that out yet. But better to have a cool room than a hot one, right? Maybe a good idea to run it in the hours leading up to sleep if noise is an issue.Overall, I'm very satisfied. Surpassed my expectations. I used to dread summer and literally preferred even -40C (-40F) Canadian winters, but now I look at the upcoming forecast of back to back 30C (86F) days with optimism knowing I've got this AC handy. Shivering as I type this! Highly recommended.

AC fit for apartment
This portable AC is a lifesaver during hot days!It cools the room quickly and efficiently.Setup was super easy with clear instructions. The compact design makes it easy to move around.Perfect for bedrooms, apartments, or small offices! Easy to store for winter season also as in Canada these only come out for couple months
