Great ride-cam, excellent value for the money!
Things I have used this camera for: 1. Ride cam for long bike rides 2. Overhead cam for online teaching (streaming) 3. Wide-angle streaming for online art modeling So far I have been exceptionally pleased with the Brave 6 Plus camera! As a ride-cam for long bike rides the battery life is excellent and the image stabilization definitely make the video more watchable! I did have to jury-rig a mount for the bike, as the included handlebar mount was too small in diameter to fit on my bike, and I noticed that as the ride wore on, the camera mount kept angling itself toward the ground. The camera also came in very handy while I was teaching an only prop-making demo and needed an overhead camera to show what my hands were doing. The streaming video quality of this camera is on par with the action quality, though it would help if the included USB cable was longer. The Brave 6 Plus comes with two batteries, which means you can always have one on hand, and you can either charge them with the charging station, or by plugging in the camera to a power source (also handy if you've used one of the included zip-ties to anchor the camera in the open-fronted mount and you don't want to cut the tie!). There are also a wide variety of mounts included in this package, though I'll be honest--I'm not sure how some of them are supposed to work! Overall, I am super-pleased with this purchase. While the accessories might leave something to be desired, the camera itself is an *excellent* value, and that's what I was spending my money on! If you're looking for a solid alternative to a more expensive action camera, I highly recommend it!

Excellent videos with very good image stabilization
If you’re looking for an action camera, do yourself a favor and take a look at the Akaso Brave 6 Plus. Sure, it’s not a GoPro Hero 8 that gives you super smooth image stabilization (which to me is really important for an action camera) but consider the following: (1) It’s only about 1/3 the price of the Hero 8. (2) It comes with 2 batteries and a dual battery charger. (3) It comes with a waterproof case and so many useful mounts that depending on what you’re using the camera for, you might not need to buy additional accessories. Although the image stabilization on this camera is not as smooth as the Hero 8 (at least from the Hero 8 videos I’ve seen on YouTube), it is still very good and definitely much better than a lot of other cameras in this price range. Videos taken while out on my walks and bike rides have produced very stable images with extremely clear pictures, especially at 4K 30fps. In addition, their customer support is excellent and have provided quick responses to any questions I’ve had. Some reviewers have commented that they dislike the fact that email responses are sent late in the evening but I definitely prefer a response that same night than a lot of other support teams that take days or even weeks to respond. Based on my personal experience, I would highly recommend the Akaso Brave 6 Plus as it is an excellent action camera that is reasonably priced. As a bonus, the company also provides great customer support!

Very good entry level camera
This is our first action camera, therefore we were looking for an all-rounder camera with acceptable price. After reading dozens of reviews we have decided to purchase this one due to the good price, the large amount of accessories and due to the double battery that is given by default. So far the camera is fulfilling our expectations and producing great quality videos for our need. Mainly we are using it for creating time-lapse videos, when travelling somewhere by car, or on a lake attached to the windshield of a motorboat. Overall it is an easy-to-use camera, the touch screen is intuitive and the video quality is hitting our expectation. (Again, we are not using it for professional filming, just for fun 😊) On the negative side, the plastic case of the camera feels fragile (even though it might not break in case of accident), we always handle it with extra care when the additional shell is not present. Also the Akaso Go application was not working properly: it took several attempt to connect to the app, and when it has been connected then there was an annoying 2-3 sec latency between the camera and the captured image on the phone. (This seems to be independent from the phone, because we have tried with both Android and Apple phones.) It is a good entry level camera for us to try out and make fun videos about our adventures. I recommend this Akaso camera to others who are looking for a good price/value device!

Durable, many attachments, great video/picture quality and reasonably priced!
I purchased this camera to document intermittent tech problems in my new vehicle. I'd take it to the dealer and they'd return it stating "no problems found" because they couldn't reproduce them. This worked out great, even though my vehicle still isn't fixed yet, but that's a dealer problem. At least I was able to prove I'm not crazy or making things up. This camera comes with many mounting attachments and it wasn't too difficult finding one that worked to secure it to my passenger side headrest. The image stabilization feature works well; the video/picture quality is great and there are lots of available settings. This is a durable little camera that's much cheaper (and probably just as good) as the well known, name brand alternative and will most likely suit your needs and come with everything you'll need, except the memory card. Also, it states in the instructions that the camera won't pick up sound when it's in the clear protective case that can be used under water, etc., but I found it did. Not great, but if what you're recording is loud enough (such as the music from my car stereo), it will. Just turn up the volume on the device you play the video on and it should suffice. I even accidentally hit the clear plastic protective case while it was opened, snapping off the back of it. I thought I'd broken a plastic part and would probably have to order another case. Then I realized it wasn't the plastic that broke. With a little patience (because of my large fingers) I was able to snap it back on. I'd definitely recommend this camera to anyone!

An Excellent Value for Automotive Use!
Definitely one of the best action cameras you can get for the money. Absolutely love the higher frame rate, and image stabilization capabilities, which is crucial for driving recordings, and the two biggest reasons I opted for this Brave 6 Plus. Image stabilization was especially important for my use case because my Volvo has several polyurethane mounts and bushings installed, which causes excessive vibration throughout the entire vehicle. Battery life is plenty for my use case even while controlling the camera via WIFI with the "AKASO GO" iOS app, and file transfer speeds are very respectable with a Class 10 microSD via USB-C. The only real downside for me was the microphone quality whether it was in, or out of the case; However, this wasn't dealbreaker for me because the camera is mostly used during driving, and is externally mounted 80% of the time. Also, the mic does not hurt the sound of a blaring Volvo 5-cylinder too much either way, and I believe you can connect an external microphone to these, as well. The "AKASO GO" app also needs significant improvements, but that's a totally different issue, and it mostly works for me when I occasionally feel the need to utilize it. This was a major step-up from a Brave 4, which was my first AKASO action cam. I was originally considering a V50X due to its sheer prioritization of image stability, but decided to spend the extra for this Brave 6 Plus, instead. Needless to say, I found it to be well worth it, overall!

Really Excellent Bang for your Buck!
I will start my review off by saying that AKASO's product line is a confusing mess! I spent days researching and comparing all of their different models and the benefits of each. But, After getting past the confusing naming and specs, I have bought and really enjoyed this action cam. I landed on the Brave 6+ for the following reasons: - Actual 4k recording, not up-sampled. - The best 'all around' image quality. (Sharpness, stabilization, color, low light). - Price and Accessories My very positive experience so far: - Image quality is actually very very good for the price! - Build quality on the camera itself is very good. - User interface is very intuitive, and has LOTS of options for all scenarios. - Included accessory kit covers most use cases, and work well for what they are. - Support for USB-C (data and charging) as well as LARGE sd cards. (128gb Class10) has been awesome. - Charging by USB, and the dual battery charger has meant I have never had any issues with keeping it powered. Criticisms / Down Sides: - When plugged into the PC, the camera says it has a webcam mode, but it DOES NOT WORK! This was a bummer. - Some of the accessory mounts don't seem to tighten down properly. - Included nylon pouches for storing accessories are very cheap, don't close well, and are not convenient to use. - Android Phone App does work, but has very limited options, and is not very useful. Final Thoughts: This is not going to match the video and audio quality of something like a GoPro Hero, but at 1/3rd the price it delivers excellent video, good software, and a wide variety of useful accessories. If you are trying to get into action cams on a budget, I would highly recommend this product!

Akaso Brave 6 Plus
I purchased this camera for my 9-year-old son for Christmas so he could make decent quality videos of himself doing scooter tricks. I was excited to purchase the new upcoming Brave 7 (not Brave 7 LE), which was originally supposed to be released before Christmas 2020, but it never came out. While it was a little disappointing since it seems the Brave 7 will incorporate the best features of all Akaso cameras into an only-slightly-more expensive package, in the end, I went with the Brave 6 Plus, which was offered at a discount at the time. Even though the Brave 7 LE has dual-screens, a more durable water proof housing, and several other things missing from the Brave 6 Plus, I went with this camera because many online reviews on YouTube suggested that its Image Stabilization was superior to the Brave 7 LE, and for scootering it was going to be used on a helmet or chest mount much of the time. My son has enjoyed the camera so far and I think the price is fair for what it is. If you're like me and are purchasing an action camera for your kid and don't want to spend the money for a GoPro, this is a good buy, as it offers many of the same features and benefits. It is not without some design missteps, however: flimsy battery door, no threading on bottom of camera to mount it (a separate plastic mount with threading is required), not particularly durable plastic housing, and other frustrating little gripes. But, it mostly makes up for these things with what it does offer, along with the price. It comes with an extra battery and many accessories as well (although no instructions for how to use them). One of the major pros is that the Akaso app integration works over WiFi pretty well and it essentially allows my son to use the camera with his iPad and make and edit little videos without me having to take out the MicroSD or import the videos into the computer. (Note: MicroSD has to be purchased separately). The app integration, along with the remote and voice commands features are pretty cool at this price point. Below is my son's review of the camera (his words): This camera has a very wide view and the resolution is amazing. Image stabilization is very smooth and the touchscreen responds very quickly. I really like the slow-motion feature because it is not choppy. It's so pleasant to watch, so smooth. There is this annoying thing whenever I put the waterproof case on the camera; the waterproof case clicks on the power button and it turns off. Even though I don’t need to use the waterproof case for what I do, I just think the camera is safer that way. So, I think the camera itself should be more durable. Otherwise, this camera is a great starter cam. The comment he made about the waterproof case is true. At least on our camera, the force of snapping the waterproof case closed causes the power button to be pushed down just enough that it turns the camera off. While you can turn the camera back on once it is in the water proof case, you cannot use the touch screen once it is in there, so it's a bit of a problem. All in all, we have been pretty satisfied with this camera (it's certainly more than enough camera for my son), but I do wish we would have been able to purchase the Brave 7 when I was in the market for a budget-friendly action camera.

Nice Camera for Price!
I bought this camera for my boyfriend's birthday about a month ago. I searched for a long time and debated on getting a cheaper camera vs a go pro and if this would really work well under water. But we have both enjoyed using the AKASO Brave 6 Plus Native, especially for water sports and to swim with under water. The buttons and settings take a little while to get used to, especially when using the case under water since you have to open the case to change from photo to video in the settings or view any footage that's been taken. The app seems to work well and hook up to the camera nicely so far. The video quality comes out well under water and above water. Sometimes the video only records some of the sound and it can have issues with that, however the sound does seem to be clear and loud, works fine for basic purposes. The batteries work well, however there have been a couple times where the battery shows that it is still half full when the camera is turned on and then it goes right to low battery after a couple minutes and dies pretty fast once it is showing low battery. The attachments don't have the best directions explaining how to use them or put them together. So it is kind of difficult to figure out them out and what to do with them. Some of them don't look like they're made with the best quality. None seem to be the best option to use for swimming underwater or diving. I thought the stop watch would be nice to have, but since it is not waterproof, we have not used it yet. We haven’t had any problems getting the app to work as long as it’s connected to WiFi, but when we try and edit a video in the app the words are in Chinese and we can’t figure out how to get it in English. Also the app runs real slow while trying to edit a video. Overall I am pleased with the camera and would buy it again!

Great Camera at a great price!
Well packed and quick delivery! I've been on the fence for both the brave 7 LE and the brave 6 plus, so glad I got the 6 plus instead! The colours and the video quality is great! No regrets!
