Great laptop
Great laptop and value considering the specs. Have had for about 2 months now and no issues. Packaged well so no scuffs or damage that I could see when delivered. I normally place on top of a fan when gaming and do not see temps get above 60-70 generally. When not on fan the internal fans do spin up loud when in high performance mode battery mode.

heavy, extremely loud , rtx 2070super max P is cool but not enough to keep laptop .
The fans are the loudest fans i have ever heard and not only that the whining whistlimg noise coming is disabling to the ears . Its horrid i could still here it with headphones on with ANC on too. Laptop responsiveness is ok but not great msi gs66 stealth with 6 cores was more responsive and navigating windows is faster on msi . I don't like how fat this laptop is and heavy . The frame around the front screen is already peeling off wihc is ridiculous. It does have plenty of expansion . But comfort wise its a nogo not for my ears .

Great laptop with some flaws.
This is a great laptop, and probably the best one you can get from value:money point of view. It has a it's pros and cons though.PROS: - Great performance for the price, other 2070 super laptops with an 8 core processor would cost you at least a few hundred dollars more. - Good screen, 100% sRGB / 72% NTSC coverage, 1920 x 1080 IPS matrix, good contrast ratio. My unit has some minor backlight bleed, but It's not noticeable during day to day usage. - Good thermals, especially considering it's running 115w variant of the GPU and the CPU going up to 100w wattage during turbo. In a combined load, like gaming, I hit about 85°C on CPU and 70°C on GPU. - Neutral look. It has a nice muted appearance, no unnecessary "gamer" fluff to distract you or people who are going to be in the same room as you. - Undervoltable. I have reached a stable -65mV core + cache undervolt, which is on the lower side for 10th gen intel processors, but still gives me a bit of an advantage when it comes to long term loads and CPU performance.CONS: - Keyboard is kinda wonky, it's going to take some time getting used to, as keys wobble a bit so the tactile feedback is not the best and can cause typos. - Loud. You can use the built in "Quiet" mode in the Control Center 3.0 software, but your thermals are going to suffer for that. You can still game comfortable with it(tested gaming Control at 1080p highest settings with RTX off and DLSS on), but if you let it use it's fans to the max they are going to stress your ears. - At around 25% fan speed the fans start producing a really annoying whining sound and a slight vibration you can feel when your arm rests on the laptop, and the available fan curve customization doesn't have enough fidelity to be able to skip that fan range. So far I've been fighting it by using quiet mode most of the time outside of gaming. But it really shows up when you are in the default "Entertainment" mode. - Difficult disassembly. If you want to upgrade it in the future, you have to be very careful during the disassembly process, as it has a few extra bolts and screws in places you wouldn't expect. Also make sure to use plastic pryer, as the plastic near the exhausts is thin and you will most likely crack it if you use anything metal.Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase, but for some people one of the flaws could easily be a deal breaker.

Does the job, but
CPU gets real hot when under load (87-95 Celsius). I've also undervolted with XTU to see if that would work, but it didn't. Also, XTU reported throttling of 20 percent.

Best 2070s laptop
Extremely gaming capabilities! I bought this laptop after comparing hundreds of gaming laptops. This is the best 2070s gaming laptop you can ever had in 15k. It runs COD warzone all high in 120fps average. The fans are quite when not running games and acceptable when running games. The weight is also acceptable.

***Cyberpunk edit***I have been playing Cyberpunk 2077 on this laptop and it is running at 1440 60-90 FPS on a BENQ MonitorRTX offFilm Grain OffLens Flare offDLSS AutomaticThe game runs like SILK and this laptop really handles it wel.... off to my old review,.The first thing I noticed when I opened the packaging is that the laptop has heft. It's not a thin and light and I didn't expect it to be. I didn't want an under powered MAX Q so I made sure I bought a 2070 RTX Super (some call Max P).The case itself is built well surfaces you touch feel strong, You can open the screen without it tipping over. One thing you will notice is that besides the well spaced keyboard and single power button there are literally NO extra keys, No turbo keys, no speed keys and no shortcut keys. This is a very spartan design and I love it because of that. The keys seem well spaced and I have no trouble typing but for you RGB guys you will be disappointed to know that you can only have one color at a time. The track pad is large and feels great but I doubt I will ever use it since I bought this for gaming. It's no a tiny laptop but it's small enough to fit on my desk beside my three other work monitors. In terms of performance and screen quality I hit over 200 FPS with max settings at 1080p on Call of Duty Warzone. Each match is perfect with no stuttering or screen tearingI also loaded up Xcom: Chimera Squad and while i don't have a framerate counter on I would presume in my experience that it's running at 144hz or over. It's not a very demanding game but it runs amazingAfter playing a while it doesn't get overly hot but the fans at full blast is kind of loud but no as loud as other laptops i have gamed on.Overall I think for the price 1599 it's a steal, everything you would want in a powerhouse gaming laptop without the RGB overload, in fact it looks almost too plain. Here are my at a glance scoresPerformance: 10/10 Everything I have thrown at it is over 144fpsScreen 10/10 The colors are bright, refresh is fast and no bleedingAudio 6/10 not the greatest above average with other laptopsNoise 6/10 It's loud as a gaming laptop normally is but you don't need headphonesKeyboard 9/10 despite no single key led colors on the keys ... the spacing is perfect and it feels rock solidbuild and materials 8/10 solid overall though nothing stands outTrackpad 7/10 as good as any i've used but i wont be using it, everif you want amazing performance in a not so thin and light laptop I don't think you can do better. It's got room for expansion. When it comes to gaming, FPS is very important to me and this laptop doles out performance in spades, I feel comfortable that it will run games at high FPS for some time.I cannot recommend this laptop enough.
