Don't waste time with nylon pop filters when the Stedman is all you need.
This is one of those rare products that exceeds all my expectations. Sometimes audio equipment is a matter of purchasing something and hoping it solves your problem. The Stedman PS101 outperforms all the nylon pop filters I've ever used and all the other wire mesh pop filters. The PS101 is well-made and feels like a quality product. The mesh grill is sturdy and doesn't feel like it will bend accidentally. The flexi-arm is strong and doesn't sag like cheaper pop filters I've used. The clamp will fit all standard mic stands and booms.Where nylon pop filters work by hoping to dissipate the air from plosives, the PS101 works by directing the air downward, away from the microphone. And it works well. If you put your hand below it on the far side and blow into it, you can feel the air being directed downward toward your hand instead of forward. It improved the quality of my recordings by allowing my plosive-prone vocalist to be closer to the mics. I no longer have to put the mic slightly off-axis in the hope of avoiding direct plosives. I can even get up close to my ribbon microphone, which is *extremely* sensitive to plosives. I previously used two nylon pop filters in sequence and placed the ribbon mic off-axis.I had hesitated for a couple of months to purchase this, wondering if it was worth the extra $20-25 over the price of regular pop filters. It is and I wish I had pulled the trigger long ago.

Pricy, but no pops get through.

Looks and sounds nice
This pop filter surprised me. I had been using a cheaper one, but a friend highly recommended this one to me. Ended up buying another for my wife because of nice it is. It looks nice and helps reduce plosives really well.Downside it that occasionally I talk with my hands and it’s a much bigger deal when I hit this pop filter compared to others. I just stay aware and restart what I’m saying if I hit it.

13" not 20"
The packaging says 13", but the listing has it as 20".Other than that discrepancy, it works perfectly fine.

Original and Trusted seller
Does what it says. Though you must angle it properly, with the logo in the correct position facing you. Otherwise you end up sending more air to the mic.

What a Difference!
I did not realize how poorly my pop filter was working until upgrading to this Stedman. By far one of the best if not the top pop filter on the market!

Metal filters are the way to go!
The neck is very sturdy! Stays in place for my situation. I have it bent upside down. The pop filter is made out of metal so it redirects air extremely well! When I hold my hand behind the filter and blow air with my mouth on the opposite side. I feel about 5% air pass through verses removing the filter and blowing air straight at my hand. Does a great job at stopping air. And thats an extreme situation if you were blowing air that hard at your microphone. I really like how a metal filter makes your voice sound more open and normal than a cloth filter that makes your voice feel like its muffled.
