Three short stories in one book. Fern Michaels never disappoints.

Three separate stories around Christmas. One was purely vigilante sisters on a philanthropic adventure -- quite enjoyable! The next was a tale from the wonderful grannies, which centered on the grand tour of historic homes in Charleston at Christmas. Intertwined within it was the story of Charlotte, a soldier's wife, with 3 children, who worked hard but had just enough to live. Sophie, the clairvoyant grandmother, was instrumental in helping Charlotte. But this story ended abruptly and really needed a few more chapters.Lastly, the story which merges the sisterhood with the grannies - a really fun read. You will enjoy this on cool nights as you plan the holidays.

lately I am not so sure what is up but I really was happy when I reached the end of this book
I drive a lot and so audio books have saved me and I can usually get into them, even if they are a little slow getting started. Though, lately I am not so sure what is up but I really was happy when I reached the end of this book. It was confusuing and a little hard to follow. It is basically about a group of women and a couple men that seem to have a LOT of money and want to help someone with it for Christmas. The way they decided WHO would get the help was very hard to follow. It was obvious that the story made an effort to develop but it lost me. The story was about finding one of the women's Elementary school teachers who she felt a love and guilt about... It was just a weird story Even the giving of the gift seemed to be a let down. The Climax never happened. I like Fern Michaels and have read several of her books, this one wasn't one of my favorites.

Fern Micheals books are becoming trite
I'm really disappointed in this trilogy. First of all, the editing is poor. Character's names are mixed up and there are typos. But what book t hers me the most is that at t he height of t he action, she cuts to an "epilogue" and none of the threads are resolved. We never see how everything in the plot comes together. We are simply expected to accept that it does. Fern, your readers expect more, NEED more!!

Not the usual
I was disappointed that all the stories were so short it seems as though they were being rushed . I love each stories about the vigilantes and the godfathers. Each story was cute like never felt complete. Usually the whole book is about one of the one of the groups she jammed all the groups into one and made each one very short . Even though I enjoy each short story I felt there was things lacking . Hope for next book includes the godmothers as part of vigilantes and has a story a little longer than what the stories contained .

Goodness
Enjoyed reading this book. Especially when it combined my favorite characters. I like Happy endings and the miracles of helping those in need and less fortunate.

Not one of her best, very all over the place
Not one of her best , very all over the place , and cloak and dagger type scene, which left me wondering what it was all about.

Pretty silly
I confess to not having read Fern Michaels before and perhaps it is an acquired taste. We chose this for our annual book to read aloud as a family ... it was so silly and utterly ridiculous that we did not get past the first few chapters. Not well written (I love cosy mysteries, so am not stuck on things having to be serious), in my opinion. How many times does she have to use the same trite phrase "up the flag pole" in the first twenty or so pages? Way too many characters show up, unintroduced, right from page one. Perhaps she assumed that readers all know them from previous books. Disappointing.

funny, and typicaI Fern Michaels writing
Intriguing, funny, and typicaI Fern Michaels writing. I am a huge fan of Fern Michaels, but not a fan of short stories in one book! These short stories, however, were amusing and just long enough to sit down and read one at a time during the busy holiday season.

Simple
3 stories in book. They were very simple and not the usually intrigue in her books. Would have liked to have more character development of the people being helped.
