Ghost ants are gone!
After day 1 most of my ghost ants were gone, after day 2 all of them were gone. wow such a great product thank you. I think the key is to put it to the right places along the wall and put small amounts in every other meter or so. next day if any of the poison is gone, put much more to that area but make sure it's still next to walls. I used 3.5 tubes in two days ( although I live in a very big house) but haven't seen a single ghost ant since day 2 🙏

Works until it doesn't
Works until it doesn't This product seemed to work really well the first year I used it. We had terrible problems with ants in the house - but no more with this product. Took repeated application and i'd find piles of dead ant bits near their runs. I'm sorry guys, I don't hate you, but I don't want you in the house...😢However...roll on to this year and they don't seem bothered at all. I block up their runs with the gel and they just eat it or move it and carry on. So, yes it works, but only for so long. And it cost me over £40 AND I still have three syringes I never used.

Non effective ant gel
This is literally the worst product I’ve ever bought in trying to control any activity - gone through three of the four tubes and activity is still exactly the same - avoid.

Ghost ants be gone!
I tried this some time ago in the past, but also tried a similar brand. Couldn't remeber which worked. But I had 3 tubes of the other one left, probably 4 years old. Optiguard I had purchased ad a single tube and didn't have any left. Out of nowhere, ghost ants took over a corner of my kitchen. Many ghost ants. I got out the left over gel... they ate it. And ate it. And ate it. In typical ghost ant style, they maybe seemed to suddenly go away, but then suddenly come back. I kept the kitchen as clean as possible, but the tiniest crumb left in the sink, they went nuts for it! But, they were still eating the gel too. After a week, I really didn't see any reduction. So, I ordered this stuff. Life ended up going crazy, and I gave up on a spotless kitchen, I mean I already have ants, why bother! This stuff came and I was like, uh, this won't possibly work without also scrubbing everything down, but... eh, I out out a couple of dots right by they're favorite little spot in the corner where their highway seems to come and go. Next day, meh, ants still there but it doesn't work overnight, at least they are eating it. Life was still in the way, so I just didn't deal with my kitchen. Next say I got up, ready to scrub down the kitchen and do a nice job of distributing this stuff...... the ants were gone. Like, gone gone. Well that's cool. I cleaned the kitchen, put a tiny bit more at their favorite spot.... its been a couple weeks now. And I'm not going to lie, I'm kind of a slob, dishes have been left out at times. Crumbs have gotten everywhere. But I haven't seen an ant. I'm stunned. I know those suckers will just instantly look like they're gone, and then be right back. But it's been a couple weeks and no signs of them, so I'm feeling confident. Did the first bait I put out just finally kick in? Or is the Optiguard superior? Or was the other brand just too old to be effective? I think the optiguard really is superior. Why else would I have had to try 2 brands last time? Highly recommend. Only complaint is I can't buy just one tube. It works so well, I will never need all 4 tubes. Maybe I'll give them out as birthday gifts? Lol.

A Dead Ants’ Party: When Others Didn’t Work, Optigard Slapped
We are in southern California and recently had an army of tenacious tiny black ants in our kitchen. They were relentless. They ate through the caulking around the kitchen sink (!) and set up a very comfortable residential retreat behind, around, and underneath our sink. We cleaned, we removed all possible food sources, we scoured around the outside of the home to find a source or trail (no luck - I believe they may have come up one of the plumbing pipes, but as you'll soon learn, their origin story is lost to time), all to no avail. We were stumped. So we started with what we knew - in the past, we had used borax products (e.g. Terro) with great success. Typically the ants would swarm the Terro baits like Studio 54, partying day and night for a day or two and then be completely gone shortly after that. But oh no, not this time, and not these guys. Terro was a joke to them. Either they were immune to it or most of them were too smart for it. Don't get me wrong, dear reader - they occasionally availed themselves of the Terro. Not the same swarming behavior I'd seen in the past, but they did. Quite a few climbed inside the baits and so I optimistically assumed we were on the right track. But after a couple of days went by and I saw zero impact on the population, I decided to put dabs of the Terro along their paths, near their trails on the counter, etc. Some avoided it, but some of them seemed to eat it. But at this point I think they were just pretending in order to mess with me. But regardless of their motivations, it had no real effect. More days went by and the population was unscathed, perhaps even fortified. Were they laughing at me? I began to question everything I thought was true: are there ant vitamins in Terro? Please don't think I'm slamming Terro. I'm sure the product is great for certain kinds of ants and it has worked well for us in repelling previous invasions. But it was useless against whatever species we were facing this time. So I turned to a Reddit sub called AntControl where I learned about Optigard, which is mentioned alongside a few others (such as Advion) as a good prosumer tool for ant control. As residents of California, we have limited options (and I'm honestly glad about that) so that limits our selection somewhat. Also an important lesson is that if you can, figure out the species you're dealing with and whether they like protein or sugar, etc. but that's another conversation. Anyway I ordered a pack of Optigard and the moment it arrived I went to work. I cleaned up all my previous Terro stuff so we had a clean slate, and then put dabs of Optigard at strategic locations. I probably used one-half of one syringe in total. IT WAS LIKE STUDIO 54 AGAIN! The ants absolutely loved this stuff. Within mere minutes they were jamming their sick little faces into the gel like they were bobbing for apples or something. They could not get enough of it. They were muscling each other out of the way to get at the stuff. I swear they were having contests with each other to see who could get the most. I'm not entirely sure about this because it was fairly late, but that first night I think I even saw one of them holding a little beer-bong type funnel while another chugged it like some kind of party an(t)imal. However tempted this made me to resurrect my optimism, I met this behavior with a cautious regard. I'd gotten my hopes up before, after all. The next day the partying continued apace. Over the next 48-72 hours things started getting very quiet. I started noticing something I'd never seen with prior invasions .... corpses! Corpses everywhere. These freaks were just dropping dead in the sink and on the counter. But clearly enough of them hadn't died too soon to bring their party ambrosia back to the nest and queen(s) because after another few days of stragglers, I haven't seen a single ant in months. Not a single ant. And that tells you something about this product. I'm glad I still have 3.5 syringes left in case we get more visitors. Again, your experience may vary based on species, their preferred food types, and your location, but Optigard was amazing for us when our previous arsenal was useless. Five stars.

Started working immediately...ants were gone in two days!
My son spilled lemonade, and it must have sent a beacon to every ant in our town. All of a sudden, we had ants in our kitchen. They then found their way into our dishwasher, and not even running it on the highest hottest setting got rid of them. I am so thankful that Amazon was able to ship this ant bait gel to me quickly. I didn't know the point of origin for these ants (they really just seemed to appear out of nowhere), so I put a little of the gel on a piece of cardboard behind the sink and one on the floor where the dishwasher meets the bottom of the sink...walked away, and when I came back to the kitchen, there were HUNDREDS of ants swarming these two pieces of cardboard. Gross. I watched them, and most did exactly what the directions said they would do - they walked around the bait, then walked into a tiny crack behind the cabinet. The next morning, there were fewer ants, and there were none anymore in my dishwasher. Then the second day, no ants! I have to think they really did go back and poison the whole colony, just like it was supposed to work If you know where the ants are coming in, I would just squirt this directly in the cracks/path there instead of luring them in to get the bait and then go back. Either way, it worked though. Great product. Highly recommend. The syringe is easy to use, and you never come in contact with the gel. I still have a lot left. I only used a few squirts from one syringe.

Best Ant Bait Available
This works much, much better than the other things on the market. Some ants pig out and die at the bait but most ants carry the bait back to the nest to the queen. This eliminates most of your problems. Other ants may invade you again. It’s more effective than all of the others I’ve tried. I’ve not had issues with children or pets ingesting the bait but I’d follow the directions and take appropriate action.

Good product used before
I have not used yet, however make certain you save the plunger to use in a new tube. However the order was delivered by usps. Mailer was fine. Optigard box was partially crushed, but tubes and plunger ok. Had to Scotch tape the box together
