Hi, yes its possible to make a paste with this, you could do this with oil or water as both will work for marinating or basting. Start with the dry powder in a bowl and just add the oil or water while mixing until you get the consistency required, the more oil or water added the thinner the paste will be. Hope this helps

The meat glazes generally have some wheat flour in so will contain gluten

Hi these are all around 300cal per 100g of product, recommended usage is 10% by weight of meat so would add 30 cal to a 100g portion if used at recommended coating quantity

Exactly like the butchers!

So pleased I bought this! I bought this and the garden mint in preparation for BBQ weather. I put this on chicken at the weekend and then BBQ'd it. I was a little concerned at first as it was very pink and not the red that I expected, but I sprinkled it on the chicken and left it to marinade, with moisture it turned red as expected. I did not add any moisture ie; olive oil / water to make it into a paste, I sprinkled the powder on as directed on the pack and left to marinade. This was so good and tasted exactly like the chinese chicken you get from the butchers, I am definitely going to be buying this regularly! I recommend you buy this, if you love the chinese chicken from the butchers then you will not be disappointed!!!

I like this it gives a nice magenta? colour and nice taste to chicken and pork belly pieces. Easy to use, but it's a tad expensive

Really great marinade.

This stuff is lush! Follow the instructions and only leave for the time suggested though - if you leave it longer it is not quite as good for some reason. My new fave marinade!

Tasty. Close to spare ribs glaze sauce in Chinese. I would add honey to glaze after cooking. I use it on Vegan foods.
